The Coffee Club Harbour Town Gold Coast — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

We usually love the coffee club however, the kitchen at this location was just not it today. My boyfriend ordered the big breakfast and was disappointed with the amount of ‘extra salmon’ added on as he has gotten more at other locations. Also half of the inside of the cooked tomato was rotten and brown. I got a flat grill which i get every time however, today it was just folded, cooked but not well. Usually the ingredients are neatly packed inside and toasted to perfection so the ingredients don’t fall out. but today they were falling everywhere and one of the flat grills wasn’t even folded properly with the ingredients not covered on both sides. Which isn’t a main problem but the sweet potato wasn’t cooked enough as it was hard and my plate was covered in olive oil. Also none of the cherry tomatoes had been cut, as well as some of the ones in the flat grill. So my side salad consisted of lettuce, two whole cherry tomatoes and minimal salad dressing.Was not impressed by the kitchen staff however, the chocolate milkshake was the best one i’ve ever had at any Coffee Club location (probably the extra ice cream they put in it without asking lol.) The staff member that came up to us and asked us how our meal was, was very nice and apologetic. The manager offered us a free cake which was very nice! Was very unhappy with the food and after my boyfriend ate half of the rotten tomato, i lost all appetite. But was very impressed with how the staff handled it and made sure we left happy. But probably safe to say we won’t be returning to this location...

Just wanted to say what an awful experience we had at this particular Coffee Club. I took my partner out for Breakfast for Father's Day on Sunday. After 45 mins I questioned a staff member if our food would be long. We ordered coffee's and breakfast. We got the coffees within 15 mins but no food arrived. We were told they had apparently lost all the orders as their system went down but should be soon. After almost an hour I approached the counter and again explained we had been waiting a very long time and how much longer would our food be. The staff member explained again about the system failure but said we would have to wait at least another 30 mins. I said I was willing to wait if our order was put through as a priority due to length of time we'd already been waiting but this staff member would not do this and fobbed me off saying they couldn't. At this point I overheard another staff member on the phone telling her they were to now to tell all customers in the que there was no food orders being taken. I also think they deliberately told us this to make us leave so they could catch up. We were never offered any complimentary coffee's while waiting and our refunded money did not include any discount and was charged for our coffees. Coffee Club Harbour Town was quite busy, being Mother’s Day and we understood that before going in, I wasn’t too fussed. No one said anything to us as we walked in and took a seat, which as well was okay. But we had ordered our food and then a waiter came over to tell us that it would be a half an hour food. Which again was okay, we just didn’t see the point in telling us after we had already ordered and paid. The food actually took nearly an hour to come out. Our food wasn’t cooked properly, and they hadn’t put everything requested/displayed online on the plate (extras cost $3-$6 each for the tiniest amount) I don’t mean to sound picky, but cherry tomatoes straight out of the container and not cooked is a very strange thing to eat when you’re eating warm food and the picture displayed online (ordering is online) is cooked tomato. Even though it was slow service, the waiters were very lovely, which is why I gave an extra star. There must have been one chef in the kitchen who didn’t care about the presentation or quality of the food being served, which isn’t professional at all.
