Stoked Pizza Helensvale — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

We called in tonight as my wife and I just felt like a Pizza. We aren’t big pizza lovers at all, but you know, just felt like one. I had a gastric sleeve operation 5 years ago, and whenever we go out for a bite to eat, we always end up taking home a doggy bag because I can only eat small portions. Ok to the pizza it’s self. OMG WOW! the best Pizza I’ve ever had. No complaints with the food at all, fresh and delicious. No complaints with the service (looked to me like a great family business). and No doggy bag, we ate the lot, bloody beautiful pizza. We we’re going to take away but this little restaurant looked so inviting we ate in and loved everything about it. I can say the Pizza had Generous toppings & fresh ingredients.

Reason for the 3 star is that, i wasn't STOKED to find out that this isn't 100% "Woodfired" pizza. There was no 'char' like a traditional woodfired Pizza base, it also did take some time to 'Cook & arrive at the Table. The base was very similar to your standard run of the mill pizza restaurants that has that (toasted on the bottom) feel.

I believe Its a Gas / Electric powered oven, with maybe some wood purely for aroma in the air.

If you're sincerely after traditional "woodfired pizza".... I would recommend to go elsewhere.

Service was poor unfortunately untrained young staff who are not confident in hospitality or table service. The owner doesn’t seem to care to help them and when confronting the owner with issues he brushed the feedback that was given to him about the fact that we were served off meat or meet that was not fit to eat in the spaghetti dish. Instead just insisted on a refund rather then fixing the problem or taking into consideration what was wrong, also using his fingers to pick the pasta up from my plate to taste himself was quite disgusting. the pizzas were perfect cannot fault then but the other dishes I would avoid.
