The Coffee Club – Helensvale — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I have been going to this coffee club for years as well as the other local coffee clubs around as well. This is by far the worst one of them all! The service at this establishment today & every other time is an absolute joke. The short lady with the black/grey hair I didn’t quiet catch her name she was so rude & blunt when asking questions that I just told her to cancel my whole order & walked right out. I love the coffee club but thanks to this rude employee you won’t see me back here. I will continue to go to Westfield Helensvale & Coomera instead - the girls there are so friendly & always go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed. The lady today at the Home World location told me I couldn’t purchase something on its own that I’ve been purchasing for 5 years now 😂 & that’s fine if she refused to provide me with my usual order - she didn’t need to be so blunt & rude about it. I always get 2 x pieces of fish on the side for my super picky kid who won’t eat anything else & she outright didn’t even want to hear about it straight blunt NO. My husband and I decided to stop in for a quick breakfast before heading to an important meeting. I ordered the eggs Benny and hubby ordered a toasted sandwich, to which they came out with my meal correct (however it was cold and disgusting as you can tell it was sitting there for ages before service) and an omelette for my husband. He explained that wasn’t what he ordered to which the waitress was adamant it was, when he further explained he ordered a toasted sandwich she looked dumbfounded and said she would be right back. She then came back and said they will be fixing his order, we waited a substantial amount of time to wait for it to be made and served, by that time I had finished my meal and we were late for our meeting. We have eaten at many Coffee Clubs and this is one of the worst we have encountered. Clearly staff don’t care, will not be coming back to this one again!! I ordered a big breakfast which was unseasoned, the eggs were over cooked and dry, the mushrooms looked disgusting, bacon looked and tasted slightly undercooked. When I went to use the salt (because there was absolutely no flavour) there was heaps sitting on top and went all over my food (how hard is it to fill up a salt shaker?), the lettuce looked old and just gross in general. My partner ordered the eggs Benedict and was not happy with what came out, food was flavourless, the hollandaise sauce tasted like nothing, and he ordered his coffee in a mug (extra $1) and didn’t receive a mug. We paid a total of $62.50 for two unworthy meals and 2 drinks, if you’re going to overcharge people at least make their order right and some good customer service, not even one worker talked to us, they just dropped off our food and drinks and dipped.
