It seemed as though it was an inconvenience to order a coffee at this place and as if i was interrupting personal conversations going on behind the counter when approaching it. I wouldn’t have even wrote a negative review except my coffee was so burnt that I could not ingest it. After mulling over what to do tip it out or go somewhere else to get 1 I eventually decided to approach the counter and ask if they could possibly remake the coffee as it was extremely burnt and unpleasant and that I was sorry to be a bother. The staff were not happy, talking about me behind the counter and when they gave me the remade coffee they passed it to me with extreme hostility even though I was being kind and thankful for the coffee being remade. Read moreA group of 12 visiting Goondiwindi arrived at The Larder for breakfast. We were kindly advised that the chef was not working and they were not cooking breakfast that morning. Several members of the group had purchased a coffee from here. We asked were there any other cafes and were advised to go to Gather 4390. Upon arrival several members of the group had a coffee from the previous cafe and upon entering Gather 4390 were rudely advised not to bring a coffee from another cafe into their cafe. We were then told to go outside and finish the coffees before coming back in. We walked and never came back. Sorry won’t be back due to your rudeness. Our group would have all purchased another coffee with our breakfast but glad we didn’t bother. Sorry Gather we...

I arrived at 8 for what may have been the second or third seating, people were still arriving as I was leaving. Numbers were much larger than I imagined. The team took it in their stride. All the feedback I received was very positive. It’s a small but more than adequate menu, with delicious Byron Bay coffee. Air conditioned inside with some al fresco seating at the front. They allowed us to mix and mill without hassle. I didn’t get to personally thank Pru, many of our group did ask me to pass on their thanks as well. It was a pleasing end to a rough...
