We placed a Menulog order for pickup and arrived on time,- mind you, the order was placed an hour in advance. The lady at the counter told us it would be a 5-minute wait, which we understood as the place was busy. We expected a 10-minute delay at most.
However, after 40 minutes, they called us and asked for our order again, then told us to wait another 10 minutes. We waited 20 more minutes before asking again—still no update or apology. We finally received our food after a long wait of 1 and half hour.
Two families left during that time because their food was never handed over. When my sister asked how much longer ours would take, the only response was, “It’s busy.” The issue was not the wait, but the complete lack of communication and courtesy.
To make matters worse, the food was not even hot, the portion size was small, and although we specifically asked for extra extra spicy, it was clearly not, naan was not even cooked properly, there were only 4 pieces of chicken in $22 worth of vindaloo. The overall experience was very disappointing due to poor service and...
Read moreWorst Indian food I ever ate. The staff was rude, very poor customer service. The food was very sweet which mainly was written spicy though. The Nan was burned and very hard to chew. No one asked how the food was when I was leaving. It was not worth the money I spend. I am very disappointed with the service and all. Never going back. I don’t even recommend to others.
Reply: Yes I took the food, I didn’t want to waste my money. Well it is your responsibility to ask how was the food or how everything was!! Your service didn’t even talk well. I can give any review I want based on my experience. This is not how you run the business and treat the customers. Give respect then only you will receive back. I can see that you don’t have any sense of humour looking at the way you replied and dealt with negative comments. I have worked in such hospitality and I know how to treat customers and how to deal with...
Read moreWe had a very bad experience at Mr Chef Indian restaurant. We understood that due to holiday time, there will be a bit of waiting but we waited for more than 1 hour for food. There was only one person to attend and serve. Moreover, the food tasted a bit expired/spoiled e.g. papdis in papdi chat tasted sour and expired, salted lassi tasted a bit weird too. In terms of hygiene and food safety, it seems like they have zero knowledge. The water bottle was so dirty and its bottom was filled with algae. Lastly, while taking order they suggested they are serving vegan dishes. E.g. we have a vegan guest who ordered plain garlic naan but still they pasted butter on it and they said it is okay to have it as it was not applied on top of it but just brushed it during preparation time. Please be mindful of someone's dietary practice and allergy prior to...
