CAFE 5911 Goulburn — Restaurant in Goulburn

You need to try this place out, the food is simply incredible; the flavour will send you send you on an experience. For reference, I had the chicken parmigiana with chips and salad.

First off, best tasting salad I've ever had. The ingredients used give an exquisite, and well balanced taste that will leave you satisfied. The balance of sweet and savoury was simply bursting with flavour.

The chips were of no ordinary calibre either. The flavour of potato in conjunction with the crisp crunch as well as the perfect amount of spice flavoring will leave you wondering if you can ever go back to ordinary chips again. An absolute must try; there's simply nothing quite like it.

And finally, the main element of the dish.

The parmigiana was absolutely incredible. The sauce was a perfect amalgamation of balance and flavour with the taste of tomato erupting with each bite. The smooth, rich bacon and delicate cheese compliment the flavour wholeheartedly. The golden crispy batter complement the flavour of the chicken which tastes perfectly juicy and will leave you fulfilled.

Not very often at all will I have a meal that leaves me fulfilled and satisfied. However, the meal cafe 5911 made for me was presented on an large plate with ever bit of the plate full of food.

The staff are very friendly and well accommodating. The service is boiled down to the bear necessities of simply asking for what you want; no unnecessary questions, just great food and service. Incredibly professionally run cafe.

Was in town and in need of some refreshments for the onward journey, having been to this cafe under former ownership it caught my eye the changes and bright atmosphere. Decided on a chicken wrap, while waiting for this to be toasted I read the cafe story above the fireplace and spoke to the owner about his background and the theme (I really enjoyed the background storytelling)

Anyhow, after taking those chicken wraps to my waiting car and travelling companion, it was agreed that we should immediately return for coffee and something sweet to accompany.

On returning Vishal acknowledged my return and we were shown great hospitality and more discussion about his future activities and plans (sounds amazing) we got some Ice Cream, Coffee and almond croissant (all very reasonable, and also top quality)

A steady flow of customers was noticed during my visit, the locals know that this place is very special.

So pleased that I stopped today and had such a great experience, will definitely take the hwy diversion to visit and see this great...

I had only been in town a few minutes and decided to ride around on my bike with my dog and perhaps find a nice pub with a beer garden where we could chill out under one of those umbrellas with fire coming out of them as it was super cold. If such a thing exists here, I was unable to find it . Most of the pubs in goulburn have an impenetrable veil to them that I'm sure the locals can see through but I for one could not.

Just as I was about to give up I spotted this cute little place overlooking the park in the middle of town. The menu has pretty much every cuisine you can imagine, so a good choice when you don't feel like something in particular. All I knew is I wanted something hearty and a glass of something red .

Not sure if it was the owner but the very nice individual who took my order of garlic prawn pasta and fish fingers came out and sparked up a fire umbrella, a glass of something red appeared and I was a very man/person.

Highly recommended, esp if you are passing through town...
