Do not sign a swim school contract with these people

I had been a loyal customer of the swim school for a long time taking my son to swimming lessons every week. I was due to have another baby and I asked if they could please cancel my son’s lessons as I was due to give birth and wouldn’t be able to take my son to lessons for a while. They told me they needed a medical certificate to prove I was pregnant in order to cancel straight away, which was odd considering I was clearly 9 months pregnant at the time, but I happened to have a medical certificate on me so I showed them. They sighted my certificate, I filled out out the cancelation form and was told lessons had been canceled. A week later I receive an email from them telling me they will not accept my pregnancy as a reason to cancel and they will continue to debit me for lessons for the next 30 days. I responded saying I can’t physically take my son to lessons anymore and I don’t have family available to take him for me. Instead of replying to my email they sent me straight on to debt collectors. I received that email the day I gave birth. The lack of compassion and disrespect has me truly disgusted. Instead of just canceling or offering the option to pause payments they were happy to continue to charge me $20 a week for lessons I couldn’t attend. And stress me out right when I was at the end of my pregnancy. My experience with this place is pretty bad. It started in Dec when the teacher keeps not turning up and unfortunately my son does not want go into water with the specific teacher. I asked for makeup lesson but the makeup lesson will wasted if we didn’t go into water due to the teacher is not available. During Christmas time, we were asked to sign of a suspension form, which the process to execute again is really poor. I signed off the first time, they didn’t process it and I noticed charge on my credit card. They couldn’t refund me but make up lesson in the new year! There wasn’t any new communication come out saying the class started again but a vigour email came out saying classes will be suspended due to Covid… yet I missed the whole Jan lessons and my credit card keeps getting charged. When I noticed the charge from them in Feb and ask for refund of unattended lessons. The answer is a firm no. I asked to cancel my account, the manager said there is a 30 days notice period I have to take up again yet I haven’t been charged more then 30days with unattended lesson. How well the customer service is. So arrogant and money greedy. will never go...

The pools are clean hands down. My biggest issue is the constant swimming lessons that take up every lane but 2. I know kids need to learn not saying they don't at all. I just find it frustrating that casual lap swimmers have to squeeze into 2 lanes and this is every night. Plus it's very hard getting the right information, I've asked 4 staff members if swim school is on every night so I could work out the best afternoons to go and couldn't get a straight answer at all .one told me to come between 10am and 2.30 as thats the best time....great but I work during the day like most of the people that come in the afternoon, hence why I'm here in the afternoon. It's good that you have the swim school and squad but keep in mind there are people who enjoy doing laps and can only attend in the afternoon that eventually will stop going if there is little space to swim. I have heard a few people get frustrated with this.

If you cant build another pool to house just the swimming lessons then maybe just turn it into a swim school only as you are pretty much using every...
