We use RR Vic Point a reasonable amount (no more than once a month, so are not strangers). For health reasons we only eat breast meat so in the past have always asked for the wing portion (as the bulk of it is breast meat). On this occasion I repeated the order three times and was specific on the wing portions repeating at the end.
It was a long wait and I was the only car there (no pressure). Eventually I got the meal and drove the 15-20 minute drive home only to find out it was the brown meat leg portion in each serving. This had happened before but mistakes do happen. They are usually friendly and resolving quickly with no issue.
However this time, the young gentleman that answered the phone wasn’t rude but couldn’t give a damn. He said he spoke to the order taker who said I definitely said leg portion…which I am 100% certain I did not. She was even going to give me two meals with drinks so I corrected her with only one meal has the drink but they both have wing portions.
The guy I called wanted me to drive all the way back and take it back which would have been another 40 min trip or longer so I suggested a voucher for next time.
He wouldn’t agree and started asking what I was going to do with the chicken now then? So I said feeding it to the dogs what did he want it back to serve to the next person? He said no.. I just want to prove you are feeding it to the dogs. I was getting nowhere with his attitude so rather than make worse I advised him I will talk to owner/manager tomorrow.
Very poor service and attitude and first time ever I’ve had to do this
I won’t mention him by name to protect him, but his manager will know tomorrow

Read moreTonight , Sunday I called into Red Rooster at Victoria Point. After choosing my order I was informed by the young man on the microphone that some items were not available. He explained there was a water issue and then assisted me to choose something else that was suitable. When I drove on to the pick up window the young man was there with my order. He was extremely friendly and certainly coping with what was quite a disaster for the store on one of their busiest nights. Congratulations young man! You are a credit to yourself and your parents. You kept your composure and your efficient manner in this very difficult time when other customers were blaming you for the problems. Well done! I advised that the advertising doesn’t have a requirement to preorder I was then told that it was a bit much for us to display that. When you advertise you are open then you expect to be able to plan your needs around suppliers advertised offering as I did not booking me entire Xmas lunch was ruined. Your staff member dared to then say that she was working on Xmas day for my benefit and than refused to serve me and walked away.
