Very Unhappy Customer
I made a big mistake today by inviting guests to meet at Rothwell Starbucks for coffee and nibbles.
To start with we arrived to find our guests cleaning a very grubby table. The next irritation was ordering four coffees and food from some rude and abrupt counter staff who obviously need a refresher course in customer service.
About ten minutes later I see three coffees sitting on the counter so I went and asked if they were my coffees because you just donât know whose they are. âYesâ they replied so I asked if the forth was on the way and received a very loud and aggressive reply about who said what. In the end the coffee label on one was incorrect and another small coffee was left sitting on the table belonging to another customer.
What a dog and pony show it was.
You need ESP to know when your coffee is ready and if indeed, it is your coffee. This was the worst service I have seen for years.
Needless to say, we did not enjoy our coffee or food as much as we should have because we were all very upset. Even on the way out we had to force the empty cups into the overflowing grubby garbage...

That said, our first visit asking for lattes in a mug - not take away- was present terribly, the milk was not texturise correctly leaving us with cups of foamy lumpy milk, the coffee however was tasty and we decided to return the following week hoping the next time they'll be able to texturise the milk better and maybe present it with some late art. Second visit same deal clearly staff are not taught presentation, and the coffee was the same foamy and chunky milk no latte art. Yesterday our final visit we again ordered the same coffees asking again for dine in mugs, the coffees were all prepared in takeaway cups left sitting on the counter 8 staff working and only us in the Cafe not one staff member walk the coffees over - after re calling our name I explained I wanted them in cups not takeaway mugs, they offered to tip them into cups which I said no thank you and realised this is not the...
   Read moreVisited twice yesterday and the service is appalling. Seems to be a young group of friends working who were more concerned about chatting than fulfilling orders. I went into the store the first time and waited for an extremely long time after ordering my drink, while they continued to serve drive through customers only. I'm not sure they would ever have gotten to mine if I hadn't asked them to please make my drink as I had ordered well before all the drive through customers.
Went through the drive through later that evening, thinking the service would be better. Waited behind a car that had ordered food for at least 10min. They eventually asked them to move to a waiting bay after announcing they had made the wrong drink. When I got to the window, my drink had not even been started, despite the huge delay for the person in front of me and maybe 2 people in the store. Endless unprofessional chatter amongst the staff as they slooooowly made my drink....
