EDIT: Since i dont know how to respond to your comment The bay Chipper. $6 worth of chips from other businesses is 100% enough to feed 3 adults and 2 toddlers, wherever you got 6 people from is beyong me because those words never came out of my mouth. Im not hiding behind anonymity, my name is clearly visable and i would say it to you all over again. I paid $27 over the weekend on a public holiday at Redcliffe for $5 worth of chips, fish and potato scallops and got triple the amount of what we paid at your store and better quality. I suggest you re-evaluate the way in which you respond on these site as a lot of people read reviews.

I wouldn't bother with this fish n chip shop. Biggest rip-offs, cocky and rude staff. I am not from the area and ordered $8 worth of chips and a large gravy expecting it to be enough to feed 2 children's and 3 adults which is the case for other shops. It wasn't even enough to feed the 3 kids. When the cocky male was questions he's didn't offer any sympathy other than tell us that you can get it from the super market then. Absolutely ridiculous, you need to re-evaluate your staff and serving sizes because thats ridiculous. Will never be back and will never recommend this place. I've now had to go and spend even more money somewhere else just to feed the rest...

I buy from here regularly for the past couple of years and always have good reviews but now it has gone downhill. I always order a works steak burger on toast instead of a bun and the last 3 orders have turned up on dry bread and the sandwich is not even cut In Half and the steak is like a piece of leather. I decided I needed to go see what’s happening so when I got to the shop a very young boy attempts to serve me but he was to busy looking at a car full of his friends out front, so I make my usual order and he goes and cooks it . So this teenager is cooking my food which was not in anyway encouraging because I have a son at home a similar age that has struggled to boil water, anyway we get the food home and it was gross, we couldn’t eat it and it cost a fortune. Why let a kid run your business?? Wow we will not be returning to eat here again especially with the poor quality of food and the high prices. This shop used to be worth paying the extra but not anymore. Yuk Wish I had taken photos to post but I went down again tonight just to be told sorry got no bread !!!!! So your reply is that you no longer supply bread if a customer requests it but your pictures show a steak...

Twice now I've called to order gluten free fish. 1st time they said they couldn't offer gluten free options as their fryer was contaminated 2 days ago.

Called a 2nd time, as soon as I asked for gluten free fish, they hesitated and you could almost feel the change in the air, then finally was told they couldn't guarantee gluten free tonight.

I'm fine if they no longer want to offer gluten free options, just disappointing it comes across as they no longer want to do it, they could be telling the truth. I'd rather they just be upfront. Customer service definitely seems like it's not as good as when I first posted my review.

Previously everything was 5 stars and customer service was fantastic.

2 years ago First time there and I'll definitely be returning. I've recently had to go gluten free and almost gave up on the idea of having fish and chips for take away.
