For a chain store they actually know how to make decent coffee. If your business has something to do with that (all be it they have a full service menu) you can't stress enough that your barista knows how to make coffee properly. I've been here a few times since being around and while there is a severe lack of choice when it comes to good coffee, this place is surprisingly not bad.
Let me be specific in that I am not comparing this to specialty coffee there are plenty of them around (although not in this area) my usual places range from Death Before Decaf, to Black Sheep, Supernumeracy, in one way or another these are some of the best specialty coffee shops in Brisbane who either use their own roast (Black Sheep) or any of the others that use specialty beans. Those types of shops are a bit different, they don't focus on 101 million different syrups or offering turmeric lattes. They may do cold brew, or perhaps a mocha, but at the bones of it they are coffee specialists.
The comparative is limited in that sense as Stella Rossa obviously uses their own beans, but on a quality scale I can't know? Good beans are supposed to be roasted regularly, and used within the fortnight. I don't know if this is the case here... I don't know anything much... also Stella Rossa is a full service chain store, not a specialty shop.
But, this vs. that as compared to the others which is where the real review lays. Stella Rossa is a chain store, in that sense Stella Rosa will get you a better cup than Gloria Jeans, Starbucks, Coffee Club or whatever, gets you... And that's the real comparative. This narrative as it is, is probably indicative that I am not the usual customer, but that's OK... I'd make an exception as the coffee here is surprisingly good, for a chain store...
Being a "local guide" for Google I've reviewed a fair amount of stuff, and will call it as it is. If I had the choice to go elsewhere, I may well do, but the kicker is that "elsewhere" doesn't really exist in Morayfield as the game hasn't been lifted that high (yet).
Five stars for at least making a coffee that isn't a thermonuclear hand warmer, and doesn't taste like the bottom of an ash tray, whoever the baristas are, are obviously appropriately trained and realise that it takes more than a certificate IV in responsible service to understand how to make a coffee.. But then the next thing is taking the years to learn how to make coffee good... That's not an...

Initially impressed by the pleasant outdoor seating and attentive waiter, things quickly soured when we were told we couldn’t order with him—only via an online app or by queuing at the counter. Watching the many staff casually chat while customers stood waiting was frustrating.
I ordered a flat white, orange juice, and the Ultimate Breakfast Plate. The orange juice was so watered down it was laughable—essentially unflavoured coloured water. Thankfully, the coffee was surprisingly good and gave me a bit of hope.
The meal arrived looking decent. The hash brown was hot and crunchy—great start. But the poached eggs lacked any flavour and left a cardboard-like aftertaste that even the sough doe could not drown out. The sausage was stone cold, and halfway through I realised the entire plate was cold too. A nice small relish on the side wasn’t enough to rescue any of the meal. It was like someone has shopped in the cheap isle in a major supermarket for the meal ingredients!
For nearly $48, I expected far better. I left feeling disappointed. I did see the franchise owner pottering around and I was hoping he would come ask how my meal was to follow up. No that didn’t happen, they were not busy.
I won’t be returning or recommending...
Read moreI have been meeting friends for coffee and food at Stella Rossa a couple of times a week and we enjoy the food and the service from friendly staff.
this morning was the first time we were surrounded by 4 dogs with their owners…
After initial barking they settled - one dog was tied to the post along the walkway… It was large and I would not have walked past it…
Another dog had a gastric attack behind my husband’s chair …it was very smelly and caused me to heave while eating so we moved our food to the Subway end…
The owners were too old to clean up the floor so someone else cleaned up…it had also been circling the table cutlery the diners had placed on the floor…
No-one apologised or checked to see if we were Ok…
When I mentioned the incident to a staff member she joked “bring you own dog - payback”
We are dog lovers but don’t eat with our dogs and were not aware they visited the deck.
My husband is having chemo & has no immunity so we are restricted to eat in fresh air…we do not want to...
