Well It's all about the the awesome handmade deserts, and out of all those beautifuly created and presented treats the Vanilla Slice stands apart and would be at the very top of the yummy list. The coffee is decent , staff are friendly and service time is pretty good even on busy days = Saturday mornings etc. Carpark out back and street. If your looking for decent eggs benne' look no further. If your over mass factory produced cakes and are looking for a real treat well that's the real treasure here. Everything in behind the glass is made locally and just ridiculously good and an experience on its own, especially with a nice coffee... but that Vanilla Slice is next level and worth the trip just to score one, and a note its VERY popular so maybe a few early visits...

What a beautiful store and concept. The food was amazing and the staff lovely. I had the fritters with haloumi and I have never had such light corn fritters in my life- and the flavour was exceptional. My wife had the breakfast burger and you can see the quality of the produce used in the layers of the burger. The eggs were almost glowing orange and the house made tomato relish was a delight.

Inside the cafe has a generous space dedicated to fresh foods, home cooked meals, fresh flowers and homewares. It's not crowded and had a really homely feel.

We can't wait to return.

UPDATE: My wife and I go regularly and just can't say enough about how great the food is and how wonderful the staff are. I am not sure how they can make simple bacon and...

This Cafe was set in an old white timber home with a verandah. It piqued my interest for what might be inside. Female jazz tones certainly drew me closer. The cafe was a combination of deli and cafe with people seated both inside and out in a typical wet season day in dayboro.

My partner ordered a safe egg, bacon and sausage breakfast, but I decided to try "bowl o' beans, fried egg and turkish bread. It had a really lovely sharp chillie flavour, not too hot, in a tomato and onion sauce. The beans were a bit mushy. A trio of butter, haricot and red kidney beans. The coffee was was well made, a little bitter, but sugar fixed that. Overall we would return to see what new gems might appear...
