Lucky to get one star! We took my 89 year old mum here to celebrate her birthday as she wanted grilled fish and/or seafood. Arrived at 12 35pm. The place had around five small tables outside & one table of two pax inside. Pretty empty actually compared to Barcella Restaurant two doors down which was packed. Got a table at the back inside overlooking bushland next to the lake. The one and only waitress brought us menus and left. There were no drinks' menu. Didn't ask if we wanted any drinks including water. We sat there for around 10 minutes perusing the menus. Waitress then finally came to take our meal orders. Ordered two parnesan topped snapper, one with vegetables and the other, salad. For me, I could not eat anything on the menu. I've just had a double mastectomy & currently on chemo. I explained to the waitress that I had difficulty swallowing & other issues from chemo. So I just asked for vegetables like pumpkin, carrot and cauliflower. No cauliflower so I left it at just pumpkin and carrots. They had pumpkin on the vegetarian pizza on the menu and carrots were part of the seasonal vegetables. I explained I couldn't have broccoli etc and the vegetables needed to be well overcooked & mushy. I couldn't have the garlic mash as garlic is off the list for chemo. The waitress went to ask the kitchen. Remember at this stage we still had no water nor asked for drinks. We were then subjected to the attack of the burly male owner stating that he had only one Chef to cater for all the tables that day I was then personally subjected to what I would consider abuse. He stood at the end of the table (next to me), talked down at me & was intimidating. His manner was abrupt, arrogant and discourteous, and sweaty & unkept. I was stunned at this kind of treatment. I had just been diagnosed with breast cancer, had massive surgery & on intense chemo treatment. I would think he would be more understanding & accommodating, let alone empathetic. You would also think that a restaurant would try to please it's customers, not reprimand them for simply ASKING if they can accommodate.. It was just pumpkin and carrots for heaven's sake, steamed, microwaved or whatever. The place was practically empty. A chef should know how to run a kitchen, manage orders and multi-task. Obviously not this "chef". To not upset my mum I simply just accepted the side dish of seasonal vegetables. He then left after now, the table of two behind us hearing everything. We were embarrassed. The waitress then returned again to finish our orders of two snapper dishes & my seasonal vegetable side dish. I reiterated that the vegetables needed to very soft and mushy. She then asked for drinks. We had no menus. The waitress apologised and also for the owner's behaviour. Left to get menus. Then she returned and we ordered lemon lime bitters in a small glass NO ICE, a Chardonnay & normal soda lime bitters. We had to ask for water. Drinks returned. We got a tall glass instead of short. Then we waited and waited and waited. At 1 45pm we got our meals. The place was practically empty & told that the food waa pre-prepared in the morning so go figure. We weren't asked if we wanted more drinks. The brocollini and carrots were hard & not as requested. How hard is it to put them in a microwave??? Ate a few tiny bites. Left the rest. The two snapper dishes were lovely although they weren't that elaborate to substantiate the long wait. Slow clearing away of dishes. Mum then had the chocolate volcano which was exceptional. Got charged $99. When paying, we received no apology from the owner regarding the delays etc.. Bad value for money when you receive poor, lazy customer service and treatment. Over-priced considering what we got. Don't bother wasting your time here unless you want to be subjected to the owner's discourteous& inhospitable behaviour, let alone the poor customer service . It was also noted that this owner sat mostly at the Bar, leaving the waitress to do it all. Doesn't lead by example. Photos attached. (Couldn't get lighter photos).

Just had my very first meal at Voyagers and all I can say is Wow! I've never been as impressed by a restaurant, it's not just one particular thing that makes Voyagers stand out, it's literally everything they do that makes it my new go to restaurant. Value for money - check (large meal, and drink for under $20) Atmosphere and ambience - check (great decor and nice breezeways makes you feel like your nestled near the water) Quality Food - handmade local cuisine with outstanding balance of flavours and effort by the kitchen staff to present amazingly tasty and beautiful looking meals. Owners - Locals who know what people need and want, taking time out to chat to patrons and share there dreams... Whether it's a cocktail and high end meal through to affordable group bookings for family and friends, nothing is too much or small for the voyagers team. Add with the affordable prices and a great choice of meals... We've made a promise to keep coming back as there is nothing like good modern Australian food mixed with great service and prices... Thank you to Ray and the team.... Highly recommended 5stars We will be seeing you soon!!!!

Crocodile down under at Victoria Point. Here's a place for those who want to try something out of the ordinary. Voyagers Restaurant & Bar offers Crocodile dishes in entree, pizzas and burgers. But not to worry, Crocodile isn't what they only serve but they also have a variety of different cuisines to choose from. I tried their Mountain Pepper Crocodile and surprisingly I didn't mind it. Compliments to the chef for making this dish enjoyable. From what I've been told, the texture and taste of Crocodile can be very blan. This entree dish was well seasoned and battered but their Chilli Jam sauce to compliment was what made the dish enjoyable. It was our first time dining here and the service was really lovely. The staff were genuine and very welcoming from the moment we stepped in. Thank you allowing us to dine here, can't wait to try your croc pizza. Recommendations: - Creamy Chorizo Gnocchi, soft gnocchi with their thick creamy sauce and bites of spiced chorizo. - Mountain Pepper Crocodile

What a joke. My family and I came for what we thought would be a nice dinner. Boy were we wrong. 5 out of 6 of us were unhappy with our meals however mine was inedible. We didn't ask for any of the other meals to be comped in any way even though the medium rare steak was so rare it was still mooing and the carbonara had no flavour. 4 of us had a garlic sauce that was so salty it tasted like they accidentally dropped a whole salt shaker in. 2 x of us at the table ordered the snapper special.

My grandmothers was beautifully cooked and flaked as you would expect fish to flake. Mine was like leather and couldn't cut it with a knife. When my plates were being taken away I explained to the waitress I would prefer not to pay for my meal as it was inedible. I showed the waitress how hard the fish was to which she agreed. I was then confronted by the owner who was just as salty as the sauce. She didn't come over to ask me what the issue was, instead she started off telling me the fish was cooked perfectly and basically I am lying. She was rude. Unfortunately when I see on my own table how the fish should be as opposed to mine it was clear as day that mine was not up to scratch. The owner argued relentlessly and told us that the fish was salty due to the sauce..... we know, that was what we complained about. We would have been back because I understand that sometimes things happen but due to the unprofessional nature of the owner we will not be back and will be telling anyone we know not to attend this poor excuse of a restaurant. The 2 x waitresses were absolutely lovely and polite, I'm sorry you have to work for...

I took my Dad out for Fathers day lunch, having searched for a seafood restaurant. Voyages was advertised as both Australian/Italian/Seafood cuisine, with mixed reviews. Upon arrival, we were seated in front of the bar where a group of poorly dressed staff, in black tshirts, black jeans and dirty sneekers, were all huddled around who we assumed to be the owner. We had to call for staff member to ask if we could have some drinks. My father requested a glass with his beer, which they forgot, and then upon second request, dropped it off not offering to pour the beer for him. I then asked the staff member if she could tell me what fresh seafood they had, and she had to go and ask the cook. She returned to say that everything was frozen. Dad ordered the seafood medley and I had the crumbed prawns. In fairness the meals were reasonably presented, and cooked as well as I would expect from a takeaway joint. Sadly there was zero taste and instead of salt and pepper shakers, each table had packets of salt and pepper like you find in a truck stop. One staff member did come and ask us how our meals were just as we had taken our first bite, then laughed saying she had bad timing. It was as if the staff had no training, and the owner was trying to pass off frozen food as restaurant quality meals, charging upwards of $28 for a main and $14 for a entree. The setting was fine, but the service and food undesirable. Won't...
