Unfair Treatment for Delivery Drivers: Edited⬇️
My experiences with Schnitz were extremely disappointing not only one time but many time. As a DoorDash/uber eats driver, I rely on prompt service to make a living, yet the staff at this location consistently prioritize dine-in and takeaway orders over delivery pickups. Despite being told my order would be ready in 5 minutes, I was left waiting for 25-30 minutes while staff ignored me and continued serving other dine in customers.
This disregard is not only unfair to online customers but also to drivers who aren't compensated for waiting times. The rude and indifferent behavior of the staff only made the situation worse. Schnitz needs to understand that many drivers depend on these deliveries for their livelihood, and such treatment is unacceptable.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and implements changes to ensure fair and respectful treatment of all online customers and delivery partners.

Thank you for your response, but I must say that, I know you’re trying to downplay the situation, but the reality is that this issue is not an isolated incident. If you were to review your cameras, particularly on weekends, you’d see multiple delivery drivers waiting for extended periods of time.
Also, if you think that drivers are “vanishing” for 20-25 minutes after giving their order name, then you’ve misunderstood how the Uber or DoorDash systems work. No one likes to wait for long, and after waiting for 5-10 minutes, a driver may cancel the order, and a new driver is then assigned to pick it up, of course, he will be there after some time. The idea that we’re going for another order in the meantime is simply an assumption. Furthermore, you said that I wasn’t present for 20-25 minutes is just wrong and disrespectful. I didn’t even specify which order I was referring to in my comment, so how do you know whether I was there or not? I have proof on my Uber/ Doordash account showing I was there, but what evidence do you have to back your statement?
I understand you’re attempting to justify what happened, but it feels like you’re simply offering a polite denial rather than addressing the root of the problem. Read moreIt was a Friday night (27/11) understandably it was a bit busy. Nice young girl on the register informed me that it would be a 25 minute wait which was fine because there was no rush. Half an hour went by and I started looking up and around for my order. My friend got his order fine within the next 5 minutes. Given that I ordered before him I assumed I was next. I was given the wrong order and then I was told it was going to be another 5. Which again a bit annoying but it’s not the end of the world. Another 30 minutes!!! Of waiting goes by and I get told to wait further outside to make room for all of the other patrons, which is fair because there were so many of us waiting. In the end I decided to get a refund. I asked and was greeted by the rudest manger I’ve encountered in a while. I remained calm in this situation because again it’s not the end of the world. She seemed annoyed at the fact that I had asked for a refund and she kept asking me even if it was my order at all, even though I was in possession of my receipt at all times. Read moreWhy can't this restaurant get on top of its wait times? Last year my friend and I missed our movie due to this place and had to go home (we ordered at least 40 minutes before film, and order took over 1 hr and we missed the actual start of the movie).
Today, I ordered a plain and simple wrap in a small meal for lunch, was told it would be a 20 minute wait to which I agreed. That time blew out to 45 minutes! No where to sit while waiting on takeout orders, I'm very heavily pregnant (and obvious) I couldn't be more fuming right now. People who ordered after me got their orders first. After 40 minutes I asked if my order was lost. It was my first time giving them ago again since the missed movie debacle and this happens! I chose them as it's made fresh and when pregnant you aren't meant to have the stuff in all the other shops that's been sitting in warmers.
Geelong city location never seems to have this problem.
