So disappointed. I was greeted nicely, placed an order after asking what was recommended to have with my salmon sandwich. I sat down and there were 2 customers that were having their food. A man came into the cafe and ordered a takeaway. Not long after he walked out with his order. I thought maybe being a tradie he was in a hurry so that’s ok. Then a lady walked in and ordered her takeaway. Some time later she left with her order. I’m still sitting there, feeling hungry (I’m diabetic). I went to the counter and said I had to leave to get to an appointment and could I get my money back. Lady asked if I got my meal. She couldn’t find my order and didn’t know what she had done with it. Normally I wouldn’t make a complaint but the cafe was not busy, and by this time I was the only one in the cafe, did they not notice me? I won’t be back because there are no excuses when I was the...
Read moreI'm seeing all of these positive comments here, but we thought it was terrible! We (mum, dad, 17yo daughter) met up with a friend for a cheeky afternoon tea at this establishment. The atmosphere was what we were chasing, and it delivered. However.... this is where the positive for us came to an abrupt ending. My wife ordered a fish burger, my daughter chips and gravy, and I ordered the cheese burger with small chips. The fish burger was two "No frills" fish fingers with lettuce and something with a black center that loosely resembled a tomato, and some Mayo. The chips and gravy was ok. My cheeseburger was more bun than burger, and at $14 I was expecting something louder than a small squashed meatball with the no frills cheese slice and mustard sauce. The chicken salt on the chips was bang on, as was the bottle of water that I ordered. $60 later, and we decided not to go...
Read moreGreat little country cafe! Menu is perfect - plenty of options, you’d be hard pressed not to find something that will hit the spot. Expect traditional, homemade, comfort food. All day breakfast, all the usual coffee options, gourmet sandwiches & toasted melts, good old-fashioned burger options, etc.
Highly recommend the Butcher’s Burger. Homemade beef patty cooked to perfection, all the traditional burger salads, not too oily, not too ‘bread heavy’. Best burger I’ve had in ages! If you’re a bigger eater, order a side-serve of chips or wedges.
Customer service was as expected - very warm & friendly. Great place to stop whilst travelling the...
