The Vault wood fired pizza, tapas & wine bar — Restaurant in Gulgong

Outstanding! Dropped in here after taking in the sights of this gorgeous little town today. I was so surprised to see a tapas bar here and what a lovely little restaurant this is! Lovely staff and very comfortable atmosphere playing excellent music at an ambient level. We ordered the nachos and jalapeño poppers as well as a sangria for myself and I have to say all 3 were the best I’ve had! The lady who made my sangria brought it to me and asked me to try it first as she was trying out some recipes and wanted to make sure I liked it…I did! Very much! In fact the more sips I took the more I loved it and by the end of it I realised that was the best red sangria I’d ever had! 😆 The nachos were perfect as were the jalapeño poppers. We left feeling very nourished and so happy to have found that delightful...

Food was okay. There were not many food selection. Portion was quite small. We went there for lunch but lunch menu was not available except burger and sabdwich. We went specifically for the pizza, but it was not available until 5pm. There were $2 extra for swapping sourdough bread with turkish bread which was not mentioned on the menu (menu only says we can change the bread). We are okay with the extra charge, but would have been good if this extra charge was written...

We tend to frequent The Vault at least 2 or 3 times a month and it never disappoints. There is an enterprising drinks menu with a great selection of local wines/ beers and the menu caters for carnivores and herbivores ( which can be rare in a country town). Portions are generous and extremely tasty and the final bill is not over the top. This is a fabulous venue, one of the best west...
