The Roxburgh — Restaurant in Hamilton

A nice place to come for a coffee, lunch, or even a pizza. Wednesday is their $15 pizza nights. The front room houses an open fire place great on those cold winter days. The prices for coffees etc are a little steep but are very rasty. If you bought a coffee on a daily basis you'll put yourself into debt! A large coffee is around $5 so not the cheapest in Hamilton. They do however have a luxurious Lindt hot chocolate which is quite nice although they skipped out on putting chocolate sprinkles on top. I also tried a cherry ripe slice which was a bit sickly and should have stuck to just the hot chocolate. Anyhow, I'd recommend people try this place out as it's a step up from most of the average cafes in the main street in Hamilton. I highly recommend this cafe for good food, lovely staff and good customer service. This is my go to for breakfast when l am in Hamilton. Recently l visited and opted for the Granola and Panna cotta for breakfast. The best homemade granola l have ever tasted and the Panna cotta was so delicious (the best ever). I went back the next morning and ordered the same and it was still as delicious as before. I asked the staff if they sold the homemade granola and they advised it was in the pipeline. I told them that l would buy some for sure. I requested if l could get some made to take back to Melbourne. I was able to purchase a bag. Now that is customer service at its best. Funny thing about going out for coffee ,dinner or a social beverage is your leaving home.At the Roxburgh the staff are so welcoming and friendly you don't feel like going home.Then throw the food in they serve and the best tasting coffee I've ever had in Hamilton or anywhere else I have travelled in the world,seriously why would you want to leave.The wine list and choice of beers is superb and the fantastic atmosphere the character and feel of the building leaves you with a unique uplifting sense of satisfaction.
