Walked in this afternoon to what could only be described as a subdued but angry mob. Decided after placing online order that I wanted to sit down and eat inside the cool restrant rather than my hot car, so skipped the drive thru (oops, big mistake!) Was told upon entering by a rather flustered gent that the pos system wasn't working and I had to order via the one and only auto server screen still working. Happily said I'd already ordered online but was then told a list of things they had run out of and that there is a 15+ min wait!? Luckily, none of my order was on the list... so waited. Had to help a very confused set of grandparents work the auto serve screen cos, there was obviously no staff out there to help anyone (angry mob and all), but they managed in the end and their grand kids eagerly awaited their oder, but flustered man dashed their hopes by telling them that waiting so close isnt going to make their 15 min wait any quicker. (Que sad looking kids - awww) Didn't look like staff were working well together and were all a bit flustered by this point and seemed to be wondering around unsure of what to do (was this their first shift?), just like the 10 or so customers waiting inside for food orders. Staff eventually got going again and started getting orders out and got mine after the said 15 min wait (well estimated flustered man) Looked for a clean table to eat at and eventually found one (didnt look like much work was happening outside the kitchen - ie: waiting angry mob out there etc) Started eating my meal which had been slapped together, but tasted fine. Then, I heard a few staff swearing and start complaining amongst each other, more customers started rolling in at this point so took my cue and got out of there and escaped further torment to continue my long drive... Read moreArriving in to drive thru around 1pm with only 2 cars in front of me was pleasing so when ahead and ordered a Dinner box with 10pcs chicken and 2 sides. As i drive in, not only the person on the speaker box sound uninterested she looks zoned out and shows no interest in serving when i come up on the window which i can't even hear her talk. Tried to engage a conversation with her to maybe make her more enthusiastic a bit with no luck or communication at all, passed me the machine to pay and shut the window without saying anything and no expression. Another lady was the one who organised and gave my order at the window(who looks like under training or new) opened the window pass the bag and shut it again. when I looked at the bag there's missing sides which i have to wait for them to get back to the window and asked for my side and same again passed the items and shut the window. It feels like I'm dealing with zombies in there which can't talk at all or a robot, which I guess robots can communicate better at least.
We honestly have high appreciation with retail/food workers but this is not it communication is A MUST in this business which we get little to nothing at all.
After arriving at home to our surprise BURNT chicken, how pleasant!(photo doesn't even justify how hard as a brick it was). I behind Ute that is in the order position .Nothing happening cars pull up behind me .Lady in Ute after some 15 minutes I know of turns off engine. I beep my horn more to wake up staff inside. We go forward around corner find people waiting for food .I order via app. Eventually get out of drive .Lady Infront ordered at windows then told to wait in carpark. No one even interested in me at windows so go to carport anyway as now have app order. Go in people waiting inside. Ask for Manager THERE IS NO MANAGEMENT. Assistant manager cooking comes to me says short staffed by design as new store programmed to take more customers. WOW KFC programme customers I don't think so .I cannot have Manager number but SHE should be in 4 pm tomorrow WOW no staff no one getting food or even taking orders and NO MANAGEMENT.
Eventually I get mine poorly cooked chicken just hope it was at a high enough temperature to be safe .Feel sorry for cook who has title assistant manager.
Chips had been waiting for chicken need I say more.
We the Customers need to show KFC they need to programme good quality and service. Not try move customers why do that been in business 40 years NEVER open a business to take business from a business I involved in .Double fixed costs for nothing and higher staff costs or no service to customer .
