Station Cafe — Restaurant in Hobart

Updated: Place has "had a make over!" apparently. New menu. Vegi stack has gone. 😭 I ordered the roast veg salad instead. Pumpkin was almost raw and inedible. No mushrooms as promised in the description. I returned my plate to the kitchen where they agreed the pumpkin was not adequately cooked and they were out of mushrooms. Something I thought they could have told me when I ordered the dish. I was given the option of ordering something else but I didn't have the time to wait for another meal to be prepared. Very surprised and disappointed to be charged the full amount for the dish when I left. Used to come here regularly, but in no hurry to return now.

Love the roasted veggie stack - my go to order, (even with the price increase.) My friends go for the corn fritters, and the soup is always filling and tasty. Coffee is great with plenty of non-dairy options. Gluten free/dairy free desserts available also. Service is friendly and attentive, however it is a small kitchen so be prepared to be patient for food...

Sept 2022: still the same old Tracks cafe. Nothing to write home about, but nice to have a cafe in the area

Nice enough food but service and skill are overall lacking. Cold and hot drinks both served at room temperature. Drinks didn’t arrive with meal as requested. No high chairs available, and toddler’s meal was microwaved into oblivion. I burnt my fingers just trying to break it up to cool down.
