The Blue Strawberry Take Away — Restaurant in Hobart

This is by far the worst fish and chips I've ever had in my whole life and I'm from Scotland. Absolutely appalling I can't believe they are still in business. First of all the guy tried to give me fish and chips in a bag which was insane. I asked him to put it in a box and he gave me way too many chips despite me saying several times to stop. Nothing too wrong with that but he places the fish on top and asks if I want salt and I say yes, but on everything. He coats the whole top layer of the fish in an obscene amount of salt, none reached the chips. The vinegar is dispensed from a SPRAY BOTTLE which is mental and he soaked the whole top of the fish despite me telling him to stop after 1 spray. This horror show cost $11 dollars and I'm concerned I may be sick later as the fish tasted 'fishy' and the skin didn't crisp but was sticky and kind of ripped apart. It was also all served lukewarm, not hot and I can't seem to get the grease off my lips. Avoid this place at all costs, I was starving when I arrived and threw almost all the food out...

Word on the beach was that this is was the best burger in Hobart. I've eaten a lotta burgers in my life, travelled the world in search of the perfect burger. I wasn't planning on buying a burger at 10:30am last week, (as a professional I prefer my burgers in the PM), but after hearing the beach gossip I couldn't say no.

My takeaway experience was marred by a stale chicken burger from the Bain Marie, which had soggy warm lettuce.The chips were cold. The prices were excessively high considering the subpar quality of food. I experienced stomach discomfort afterwards. Moreover, a staff member's decision to open the inside of the chip bag with his bare hand was concerning. In light of these issues, I do not intend to visit this...
