The Best Tucked away in a side pocket of Mt Lawley right next to the Ingelwood public library is an undiscovered gem waiting to be discovered. The taste buds will salivate at the prospect of discovering the uncrowned jewel that is Oriental Secrets. Run by a husband and wife team with a keen focus on dedication to top notch service and over 14 years experience in the preparation of quality food, oriental secrets sits at the epicentre of the Mt Lawley district and is an exciting addition to the Chinese cuisine restaurant industry in Perth. Whatever you fancy, oriental secrets serves it all, including coffee. Sample the mouth watering aromas of garlic chicken or the unique blend of prawn, beef and pork dishes on offer. A notable dish was the steamed ginger fish which I am inclined to have again on my next visit.. The crowning achievement of this eatery is that it completes the essential restaurant trifecta of quality food, great customer service and fantastic prices. The owners (Kim & Jesse) are pillars of the local community and believe in giving back. To this end they offer generous discounts to seniors 7 days a week in addition to providing lunch time specials for office workers in the district who need a quick and affordable quality meal. The place caught my eye because of the wafting sweet aroma of Kim’s coffee in the air as I happened to exit the Ingelwood library one day. Kim’s special blend will satisfy even the most ardent of coffee connoisseurs. The place is open 7 days a week so it is perfect for a weekday or weekend stop. It has spacious seating to dine in or alternatively you can take away. Go ahead, treat yourself today. You won’t regret it!!

Read moreLocal reviewer here. The food is tasty so I give them that but the service is poor and menu confusing!
I took advantage of the Korean Beef Bibimbap special on 23rd Jan for $10 but was charged $12, found out that it was not a mistake as the egg with the special was an extra $1, not sure what happened to the other dollar and not advertised that there would be additional charges. The only Bibimbap sign says egg was included. Strange marketing.
Went back again on 30th Jan and was charged $15 for the Bibimbap (apparently the special ended but the sign still said $10). I brought it up with the girl but was told the egg wasn't included in the special last week and they should maybe take the sign down. She didn't seem too fussed about the mistake and the sign wasn't taken down long after we left?
They were busy...ish.. take away food took 25-30 minutes. Didn't see any uber eats orders going out. The price of everything is expensive for what you get if not being provided with best service. The inconvenience and confusion has put me off. I won't bother coming back in a hurry as there are other fusion restaurants that are well priced with better service (Hanami Mount Lawley and Kagura Sushi House for example). See photos of confusing...
