Sugar & Nice — Restaurant in Inglewood

3 things thats a must try: Cinnamon scroll, kougn amain and orange pie(thats what they call it)(more of a unique dessert). The cinnamon scroll and orange dessert is award winning dessert and they actually taste nice.

I have been to some award winning food places before and food doesn't taste nice before

At first l was trying to look for pancake, thought this was the cafe. However it wasn't, which was disappointing.

But last week Saturday (2 dessert) and today (1 dessert) l try 3 desserts mentioned above it tastes sooooooooooo nice. I can say it's the best cinnamon scroll so far l encountered.

Those of you that have been to North street store, the cinnamon scrolls there also very nice but this place is just a bit better, baked and served out on the day seems like, softer and better flavour.

The kougn amain and orange pie dessert got me by surprise, not what l was expecting which is great. I honestly thought it would be like a really nice orange cake (more cakey) but no it's like a soaked Sponge with Juicy flavour and texture like bread pudding.

The kougn amain is like the upgraded version of Teeter bakery. The Pastry is very fluffy inside, if l'm not wrong theres custard inside, outside is toffee, fully dipped which gives a good Crunch and sweet enough.

Disappointing. 40 minute wait for food. Firstly was advised 10 minute wait, went in around 15-20 mins to add on a croissant to order, was then advised they forgot to cook sausage rolls and will be longer, this was forgiving as everyone makes mistakes, was offered croissant on the house as goodwill, was advised in 10 mins food will be ready, then 20 mins later went to go see how food was going, was then given food, and advised they didn't even have croissants, but added a few extra items to make up for them not having such a basic thing. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how you handle it that makes the difference on their review and my thoughts on this establishment. But they absolutely flunked in rectifying their mistakes and there was no communication on anything which was frustrating, only us following up constantly while everyone around us gets their food and leaves while we were still waiting :( We left there starving, then only to eat the food and it being average, the only decent thing being the cinnamon scroll. Never...

Alex served me, he has one of the best friendly, warm, open, generous thoughtful and charismatic services I’d experienced as someone who has explored many cafes all over Perth and in Inglewood. The best place for food to go with coffee, or fresh tea & sweets- the Almond croissant is to die for, inside is moist, not sickly sweet, generous balanced flavour & toppings- recommend for anyone who doesn’t like too sweet and wants a drink. He even gave me a free side of cream which I swear is the best cream I’ve had, and the tea is too good, can’t believe I wasn’t charged for the takeaway containers! Creative ideas done well, a chill experience you need in life, comfy seating, good prices, environmentally friendly, and it’s hard to find cafes with really good vibes sometimes!
