Last night the 17/06/21 I ordered approx $100 worth of food from Pattysmiths in Bellbird Park through Menulog.
The problems began almost instantly when we opened the chips that we had ordered. We had ordered 2 x Large chips and upon opening the boxes they were both half full. I was able to fit all of the chips in one single large box and shut it.
The next problem occurred when one of the Swiss burgers we had ordered had jalapenos on it (which is not supposed to be on this particular burger). The person who TRIED to eat this burger is NOT a spicy food eater and was unable to eat the burger.
We also ordered a Chicken burger which usually comes with a large piece of chicken only this time, it was literally about 3-5mm thick and overcooked.
I would not normally write a review especially if the restaurant had supplied acceptable compensation to the matters but the problems did not end here.
I called the Bellbird Pattysmiths location to complain about the food and we were told that they were unable to take our call at this moment as they were busy, and that they would call us back. Nearly 3 hours later at 9:30pm I received a call back from the alleged 'owner' of the location.
When I told him all of the issues that we had he only had excuses such as 'Oh I know who made that order and I will be managing them out' and 'The chicken for the burgers is ordered in already cut to size and we have no control over that, I have spoken to head office about the large variation of portion sizes and they're working on it'. When I mentioned the Jalapeno on the burger, the response was 'Oh I have no idea how that got on there, the same staff member must have done that'.
Why are these excuses acceptable as to why my food is terrible?
At this stage, I would have been happy if I was refunded my money but at first the 'owner' said that he will give me a free large chips as compensation for my bad experience. I'd like to remind you that I spent $100, a $9.95 box of chips is NOT acceptable compensation. This is exactly what I said to the 'owner' and his response was that 'This is how head office likes us to respond to complaints'.
I am absolutely disappointed in the food that was supplied and the quality of the service and compensation provided.
The ONLY reason that this store gets 2 stars from me is because I've eaten there before (When they were newly opened) and the food wasn't bad at...
