Well to start off im going to have to take you back to the start. Approximataly 5 months ago i embarked on my new journey as a salesman in joondelup square. Being a new employee to a feild i was unexperienced and i was quite nervous and had subsequently worked up quite the appetite. As i spoke to my fellow work mates about good places to eat i was quickly drawn to the idea of a quick Japanese takaway. I was inclined as a white person to start off with a safe choice, so i hit up the katsu chicken. The second the crispy crummed chicken hit my mouth my tastebuds were sent into a frezy of excitement, a state of with i had only felt in Japan a few years prior. Over the stages of the next cpuple weeks i started to branch out and try all aspects of the menu. It quickly became apparent that no matter what i ordered the food was always going to be good. From the teriyaki chicken to a hot bowl of miso soup, i always returned tp work full and satisfied. The staff are beyond kind and are always happy to serve with a smile and small yarn! To make sure this was an accurate test of food quality and service i made sure i maintained a strick diet of eating there 5 times a week for 5 months straight...you know....for research purposes only and not because a hole has opened up in my gut and the only way to fill it is the sweet...
Read moreMostly hit and miss with this restaurant. Flavours change all the time depending on who's cooking, there's no consistency but I accepted that the food was edible and price reasonable. But the last few times they always seemed reluctant to cook certain dishes esp if it's a dish that needs to be done fresh... (it shows on their faces and also I speak their language so I hear things) also always closing earlier than their advertised opening times. A few times I drove all the way only to be refused service when there is still abt 40min till their advertised...
Read moreProbably the worst meal I've had in years. Ordered katzu chicken, very thick crumb and very oily. Also four smaller pieces of chicken rather than a single large one, so basically more oily crumb than meat. Don't think it was traditional chicken thighs either. Is the place traditional Japanese at all? Doesn't feel that way.
EDIT: reply to restaurant - katzu chicken can be made with either breast (not common) or thighs (more common), what I received was DEFINITELY NOT chicken breast since it had lots...
