Merv’s Cafe — Restaurant in Junee

Nice food and generally good service in the past BUT beware of a waitress that carries 3 hot drinks at once ... she carried a tea pot and cup on a plate in one hand, a takeaway coffee in the other hand and a hot chocolate in a mug and on a saucer balanced on her inner forearm, she spilt the boiling hot tea that was not balanced on the plate as she placed it in front of my elderly mother, fortunately I was sitting next to Mum who was unaware of the unfolding incident and I grabbed Mum's legs and swung them around and away from the boiling hot tea. Mum could have been seriously scalded, as I saw what was unfolding and grabbed the hot chocolate to move it out of the way and it fell over, I managed to salvage the hot chocolate before I lost too much of it and I would estimate that we lost maybe up to half of the pot of tea, the waitress was not that concerned, she did a rough wipe down of the table and that was it. I was expecting her to return to continue with a more thorough clean up of the table and the remaining mess from the tea and hot chocolate and to apologize for the incident, but she didn't return, she didn't even ask if Mum and everything was ok. I'm not out to cause trouble, I was hoping to be able to catch a fellow worker and let them know of the potentially dangerous situation that could have unfolded so that advice could be given to the waitress to be more careful but time ran short and we had to leave before I could...
