Stayed in this hotel Saturday night with 2 friends. From the start to leaving can only be described as horrendous. On arrival we were greeted by reception staff. The woman who was dealing with us had no Manners she couldn't find our room First, then told us it was booked for 2 adults we told her it had been booked months before for 3 adults after much confusion she finaly found us a room. We went up and left our bags in the room and went to the bar for a drink. The bar staff were very rude and one woman asked very abruptly what we wanted when I answered she left and served others customers. She came back 10 mins later and said if you have ordered wait outside In a very rude way. We then left and headed for town. We arrived back late and we were looking forward to going to bed we got into the (beds)! Which was like lying on bricks. We got no sleep at all. We ordered breakfast to the room which arrived in a horrendous state, the bacon was raw, the mushrooms were raw, the sausages were freezing. We paid 16e to get this delivered to the room. I phoned down to reception and explained our experience and the accomadation manger came to the room. I pointed out the breakfast and the beds that we could not sleep in. She apologised and said she had been told by staff that it was a room for a family with small kids. I found this very odd as to why they would think the room was suitable for children. Or adults. She then told us that we should of been put in the new wing ( bit late when we're all sore and tired) I was told by an other manager that they would contact us the next day after this was investigated. I had to phone them. I was told by the general manager that they had 500 people for breakfast and that's why our breakfast wasn't good. If they cannot cater for 500 customers then why are they doing it?? This whole trip was to be exciting and I can only describe it as a nightmare. It should of taken us 2 and a half hours to get home it took 7 and a half. As we were so tired and sore we had to keep stopping and stretching. I would advise anyone staying in Dublin to avoid this hotel. The staff and managers need to do a refreshers course on how to deal with customers. I have stayed in many hotels and have never had to write a bad review. I'm am disgusted by the attitude of the staff and the treatment we revived. We were offered a nite away but I never want to set foot in this place again. I hope some time they would treat customers with respect it is...
Read moreStaying in Junee for work purposes, I thought I'd check out the bistro here since a few of my work mates have said how great it is for dinner.|The Red Cow is a great family geared pub and the meals are very nice for pub ones.||There is a good selection of meals to choose from, and come with either salad and chips or veg and mashed potatoes.||I chose the grilled fish (Hoki) with salad, chips, a side of crumbed squid, and garlic bread starter.||The food was delicious and very nicely presented, the fish tasty, and the salad a cut above the normal pub fair.||I have no doubt I'll partake in my dinner here again when I...
Read moreOrdered Garlic Prawns, in a cream sauce on a bed rice. Order arrived without the rice, when asked about it, the reply came back from the kitchen that they ran out of rice midweek and they apologise for not having any. Why were we not told when placing our order? and IGA is across the road, you could have popped over during the day? We then asked for a breadroll to compensate but were refused and told they were already portioned out for the burgers, but here's a few chips you can dip to get the sauce, really?
So dinner was a small pot of prawns in a sauce. Sorry guys really...
