Had to edit this comment to add more to this...dont bother replying back, because ive had a good read at all your reply's and you have not fixed any thing. There is a lot of people sating there needs to be adult supervision and you make a excuse every time. This is clearly a cheap labour place!!! If a child was to get hurt in there, were is the blame going to happen? You dont care at all!!! I am soooo angry about your lack of care factor in your reply's.
Where do i start, first of all this place was run by little kids, not that i see the wrong with kids working but when you have a issue there was no one to complain to as those little kids could not handle complaints. We got our food a hr after we ordered it, and 4 things were missing. The young 14 yr old gave our food to other people twice. Did not apologies, and became rude when we asked him to speak to the manager. He then over charged us ( yes, i was meant to pay $56, and instead i paid $76) and was causing a seen in front of others. This young 14 yr old needs help, i dare say counselling. I have never been so angry. To the owners, this was a busy night (feb 14 2023) the fact that you left kids to be in charge is beyond a joke!!! There is more to this story but im so angry. I will be...
Read moreOne of the greatest examples of Australian small town Chinese restaurants. Everything from the classic oriental seat slips, worn menus, calligraphy wall hangings and chinese lanterns perfectly exemplify the kitsch but genuine aesthetic. It has an excellent atmosphere created by the many locals who dine here, a homely feel, and delicious food.
A hot tip is the mapo tofu, an authentic rendition of the famous Sichuan dish. The steamed Barra with ginger is also a stand out - succulent and flavoursome. All the classics are also well represented, such as duck with plum sauce, honey chicken, lemon grass chicken, beef and black bean, and the list goes on. And be sure not to miss the scintillating spectacle of a serve of sizzling beef arriving at your table!
Whilst they don't serve alcohol, they have ample fridge space for you to keep your ice cold middies, with no corkage, whilst you enjoy your meal with one.
Truly a delight, and a shining example of what welcoming people with open arms into this country can lead too. The Chinese diaspora have added to our cultural landscape immeasurably, this example is but a small one. If Howard, Hanson and Dutton et al had spent a night here, maybe they wouldn't have been so cold hearted all...
Read moreMy wife and I had a blessed time with the Regent Court team celebrating the eve of my 50th. We are honoured to hear the owners are the hands and feet that provide the young generation a chance to learn life skills in the workforce. The young teenagers that served us, Taylah and Jayden, are such delightful, joyful and humble workers. As a parent of 3 teenagers myself, I am honoured to stand with the owners of Regent Court that demonstrates a loving heart and courage to make a difference in the next generation.
As for the food (and as a Vietnamese-Chinese descendant), I am so proud of the authenticity and flavour of the food. AND, the serving size is so generous. I would pay 2/3 more on the Gold Coast for the portion of food!. We're so honoured and blessed to have my last supper of my 49yrs served by you.
May God continue to touch your loving, humble and servant hearts, Tam and hubby (sorry I forgot your name). May Jesus' flavour and favour continue to outpour through your (trainee-) chefs cooking for many generations to come. God bless....
