Munch Cafe — Restaurant in Kearneys Spring

I stood at the counter gazing at all the tempting treats.. hmmm what to have? The Caribbean lime tart or one of the scrumptious cheesecakes? I moved along a little and spotted it! The Blueberry french toast... I eagarly awaited my choosen delight and here comes the lovely wait staff with a smile, but surely this is not mine? The french toast is piled high with ice cream and there's a pot of maple syrup on the side!! I quickly realise it is for me, my stomach does a gleeful dance and I'm thankful I've worn a loose dress The creaminess of hidden ricotta, the sweet ice cream and the delicious bursts of Blueberries popping in my mouth, the experience was divine. My only regret? I couldn't savour the dish as I longed to as I had to dash across town for an important appointment

Oh yes, the coffee was...

Just came here because of the great reviews. All I wanted was a decent takeaway coffee. I was charged $6.20 (!!!) for a “2 Shot” takeaway cappuccino (the size of a medium / large cap), with regular milk, nothing fancy at all, which was so freaking hot that I burnt my tongue, and I had to wait so long to drink it (25min later and it’s still super hot) that any remaining creaminess of the milk has long gone and it barely tastes better than one of the better instant coffee brands. The froth wasn’t great in the first place, it just sat on top so the milk below wasn’t creamy. I’ve had better Maccas coffees which are cheaper. Very disappointed given the unexplainably colossal price. Are all takeaway coffees this expensive...

I checked the opening hours first. Closing at 4pm. Our party arrived at 2.45pm. We were informed, quite rudely, that the kitchen closes at 3pm. I get that… BUT… I asked for a half serve of their Bacon/Corn fritters…. I complimented the meal, having had it before, also said I was happy to pay full price…. Just got a “NOPE”!!! This guy…. Is never welcoming…. The wait staff? She was lovely… So we ordered…. By 3pm? They were stacking chairs and tables… Actually slamming them…. We felt very uncomfortable to still be there. We stayed until 3.45…. I’ve actually been there 4 times previously… Won’t go back… The food is great…. The management?...
