We are staying at the Kununurra Country Club where this restaurant is located. Prices were very high and I would say exorbitant for a restaurant that has no table service and a small and “unusual” choice. Service consisted of delivering food to the table without even a hint of a smile from staff. The food was very disappointing, particularly given the prices. The mushroom risotto was tasteless, or at least the taste that was there was unappealing. I had the Balinese poisdan or as I found out a small half chicken the size of a quail. Very bony and little meat. What meat that was there was tasty but difficult to pick it out. It was accompanied with rice and some sort of pickle type sauce and some Jake. Not very nice. It’s such a shame that what was once the best place in town has really dropped in quality and service.

We were here for lunch, which is offered between 11:30 & 14:00 daily. Julie, the lady behind the bar and our server was fabulous. Meals and drinks are ordered and paid for st the bar. Tabs can't be used at lunch, but American Express cards are accepted. The lunch menu is modest, but acceptable.

Beautiful entrees and mains, great service, very clean and priced accordingly. Couldn't fault it. By far the best meal we had in Kununurra

We dined here on a weeknight in a small party.

Service was efficient and friendly - one of our party was a local and knew one of the staff.

Easy to get a reservation on the same day, but the restaurant did fill up. We were there early evening.

Good atmosphere for dining alone or with others. Felt like a cross between a cafe and a restaurant, perhaps because we were seated near the bar.

The four stars rather than five is because we felt the food was pricey. It was however nice and a good portion size. The sharing plate did the job for three diners, and we each had a main. Pricing felt about $10 more expensive than a main should be (and for the pastas/gnocchi, probably $15 more than it would be elsewhere); maybe priced for tourists and business travellers who are travelling on high meal allowances? Anyway, it was good food.

Wide selection of drinks available.

Easy parking.

Clean.

There' a reception area with bits and pieces for sale along with tourist brochures, which could be handy if you're at a table alone and want to pass time with some...

Incredibly awful, first the price completely unacceptable for the ingredients used I.e. ordered the pasta and found the ingredients appeared as the left overs chopped up from the steak meal side vegetables the night before and the pasta being drying spaghetti I.e. 99 cents from coles with a tasteless sauce. The steak ended up also being tasteless and the charcoal bitterness overpowering. Ultimately the food was inedible, the cost was completely unacceptable and the ambience just alarming. If we hadn’t found it funny we would’ve cried at those prices…left hungry. Meanwhile the wait staff ladies try their best and we’re...
