Modest restaurant frontage in Mowbray with simple but comfortable interior, revealing a buzzing and very busy Nepalese eatery. The people who run the restaurant are so lovely, friendly, and humble in their approach. The food was really lovely, plenty of choice for three vegetarians, fresh tasting and beautifully presented. The food did take quite a long time to come to our table, however, which was hard for the extremely hungry teenager in the group. The onion bhajis were so delicious we ended up ordering a serve of these for each diner! Two members of the group were not able to handle much chili, however, and the dishes (which had been requested to all be โ€˜mildโ€™) were too hot. It did somewhat mar the experience for those peeps, but for me the hotness was perfect. The atmosphere was relaxed but busy, with many many pickups for take away food throughout our time there, which was pretty surprising for Wednesday evening. Could have used some North Indian music! Please try the mango kulfi, you will not be...

POOR STAFF SERVICES !!

I tried Tikka Masala Curry last time and thought it taste really good. So I went to try another type of curry with my friends.

When we entered the restaurant and sit down, two staff clearly saw us (one was cleaning a table, and the other was at the counter). There were no other customers at the time, but none of the staff came to take our order.

After 8 minutes, other customer came in order for take away, but still, no one came to take our order. I tried to make eye contact and raised my hand to signal that I wanted to order, but no one paid attention to me.

We ended up waiting for 26 MINUTES !!!!! Since we were really hungry and they still prioritized taking orders from other customers, we feeling ANGRY...

I have been going to the Mowbray Curry house for Approximately 7 years, it started out as a convenience after school just a sneaky little butter chicken for lunch and on the way home, over time I soon came to realise that the Food is simply unique and unbeatable. since moving away from Launceston, I find myself waking up at night in cold sweats after dreaming about the delicious butter chicken and how I now must settle for other amateur dishes. One time I drove all the way from Hobart to Launceston just to buy 5 servings to last me the week, I didnโ€™t even stop in to see my family, just Gobi and his staff. To anyone who wants to experience the best Butter chicken ...Ever... I encourage you to drop everything and make it happen and...

The best Indian restaurant in Launceston. The food is delightful and the staff are always friendly. The prices are comparable to other restaurants but the quality of the authentic Indian cuisine surpasses the rest. Trust me, I have tried almost every Indian restaurant in Launceston and you will not be disappointed.
