Henry's Bakery Cafe - The Good Choice — Restaurant in Lismore

I cannot believe what happened today. I was so embarrassed. I am disabled and have an eating disorder. So as I passed Henry's I said to myself " if there is a park out front I'll get food. There was. I went in grabbed a drink out the fridge. I look at the line as I have for 30 years a fella was there going to the barrista to get coffee. He nodded his head to say go ahead to the pies. So I skipped walking around and went in line behind 2 ladies ordering pies. Yay. Yummy food. Then he starts. The white haired fella I never seen in 30 years. Says " you go in the line " I tried calmly explaining what had happened but he kept dominating me like a Nazi telling me to line up behind,what was now a line of ,3 others who came in after myself embarrassing me In front of everyone making Me feel small as a mouse. I just wanted a pie. I wasn't cheating anyone out if anything. I put my drink back in the fridge and walked out almost in tears. I cried in the way home. What did I do ho deserve your horrible dominating energy white haired fella. ??? Henry's. Take controll if this fella. 30 years and a pie too hot once was all I've ever said. My wife and I have enjoyed so many breakfast at this beautiful establishment with the mist awesome choice of dining for a bakery. Don't let this fella destroy your business....

I went to Henry's today to sample the breads and pastries. I enjoyed them all 😁. I bought sourdough, a baguette and 3 different mini tarts. The pastries were excellent, light, fresh, balanced and flavoursome. Well done! I was not expecting French standards and boy was I pleased. You can taste the butter and know they aren't skimping on quality ingredients. Both breads were up there, again, I have bought so many sourdoughs, always too sour, this loaf was bang on, not too heavy, not airy and yum! The baguette was good, not amazing, but again, I have paid a lot more to be bitterly disappointed. The window displays were clean and plentiful. They were busy and the young lady who served me was lovely. I asked for a less cooked baguette and she actually looked to find me one. Thank you to the staff and owners. I will be back to try some more products and maybe have a coffee. It is my first visit and I wanted to write an honest review. I don't understand why people who are long time customers, choose to write an unfavourable review after many years. It is counter-intuitive and doesn't support small business....

There are no trading hours listed for this place. We came here Sunday after a three hour drive and it was closed.

I actually disagree with your response as there is an option for business owners to add ‘temporarily closed’ to their trading hours and therefore I do not think the review is harsh. I’m sick and tired of businesses having incorrect trading hours and the disappointment that comes with showing up to a location and having it closed. So no, unfortunately I will not be deleting the review. Perhaps you should consider changing your trading hours to...
