First time having a taste of New York at 5 Boroughs style: think burgers, NY style sandwiches, wings, tacos, waffle fries, steaks and ribs, along with a full bar and cocktails menu. I find it hard to pass up baby back ribs in any menu, so had to try one of those - it wasn't all that tender but was a huge serve for a half rack, and when it first came out we actually thought we might have ordered a full rack by mistake 😆 Also had to try one of their hand crafted burgers and chose the Brooklyn brisket from the specialty burgers section of the menu - this bad boy was stacked with beefy goodness and definitely requires two hands to handle. It was on the salty side for us so might try a different burger next time. Their waffle fries probably can't get any more authentic than being imported from the USA! They went down very nicely with the accompanying sauce. I'm told the place can get pretty busy on a Friday night (when we visited) though thanks to a few late cancellations my family got to have the smaller upstairs area all to ourselves! Anyways make sure you book ahead and reserve your table 👌 Our order: * Brooklyn brisket burger, $18 - smoked & stacked beef brisket, house made cheese sauce * Pork baby back ribs, $26 (half rack) - marinated, slow-cooked & caramelised with bourbon BBQ sauce, served with choice of side * Waffle fries w/ chipotle mayo, $9

Visited at 5.30 on a weds ( origin night). It wasn't busy. Service was extremely fast from entry. And both staff who served us were extrem3ly pleasant Party of 3, we ordered 2 starters. Onion rings and haloumi fries. Both were amazing. Tbh, though, I would have preferred a different sauce as both were served with their 'house sauce', and that was very understated. They do have happy hour nightly between 4-6pm. Including a select range of cocktails. Unfortunately, none of those appealed to me, so I ordered the lemon meringue Martini. Absolutely spot on delicious. Could easily drink them all night. We also ordered soft drinks. For mains, we ordered the classic burger, the Bronx Mac & and cheese, and I ordered the philly cheese steak. 2 of us could only eat half of our burgers and were offered takeaway to take the remaining home. It was delicious the next day too. The only reason they are getting 4, not 5, stars is I originally ordered the New York sandwich, and the server had to come back and let us know its discontinued. Sad face. Maybe wouldn't hurt to put that on the menu. Would return, perhaps on their trivia night, on Tuesdays.

We’ve walked past this place so many times but finally decided to try it and wow, so blown away! If I could give it 10/10, I would. The service, the atmosphere and the food were all absolutely perfect. We were starving and the food came out surprisingly fast. The staff were really friendly and the seating was great, both inside and outside options. I believe there is also a venue area upstairs and think it would be the perfect vibe for a function. The menu had so many tempting options, but we went with the Frank’s Red Hot buffalo chicken burgers and shared some onion rings. Honestly, everything was incredible. The burgers were juicy, saucy, fresh and perfectly cooked with soft buns and amazing cheese sauce. The onion rings were crispy and hit the spot. Absolutely loved the chipotle sauce with it. We had a corona and some fresh drinks to go with it and left completely satisfied. The whole place just has a really fun, relaxed vibe everyone was friendly and the food was true comfort perfection. Definitely our new local gem. We can’t wait to go back!

First time dining here with my family. We had a booking for x13 people for Father’s Day. Upon arrival we were greeted with a server who clearly was not in any mood to be at her place of work this day. The negative vibe we experienced could have been sensed from a mile away. She advised “just making sure you are a booking for exactly 13 people” distastefully, which we responded yes.

She then proceeded to advise our table was set and it was a table outside that could only sit x10 people. We were somewhat confused and questioned why we were seated at a group of tables that could only fit x10 people when clearly our booking was for x13. The server then brought over extra chairs, but no room for them to be seated at the table.. like make it make sense 🥲. Our brother tried his best to liaise with the server if we could move inside due not having enough space to seat us all, and also because we had children and outside was a bit chilly(apparently there was an option to choose inside or outside on the booking, but this option was not available when we made our initial booking 🤷🏾‍♀️👀) We were then told it’s fully booked and that the group before us took longer than they were meant to and when they left they gave our table to another group with supposedly more people. Which then confused us and we questioned why that would be our problem..? We then asked if we could add another table to fit the rest of our group at the first assigned table, which she was more than happy to accommodate, so we thought, but then we were met with another rude server who fed off the same energy as the first server and proceeded to give the same attitude and vibe with not wanting to help us at all. After the first server brought over a table to add, the second server abruptly walked over and snatched the table away trying to justify that we had enough tables already! We did politely ask to speak with the manager and lead staff to which they advised they were “not available” and “did not come into work today” We then asked if it was possible to be seated upstairs, but this was only considered after multiple references to how we have tried seeking assistance with just sorting our table out and we were consistently met with rudeness and zero direction to seek a resolution. After time had passed we were thankfully given a bigger table upstairs, which of course we were grateful for. But the experience thus far had already left a bitter taste for us as patrons. The food was fine for us, so we have no quarrels about this. We did notice though, once our food was served we saw no further servers for the rest of the time we were there dining. No one came to clear our plates or take our orders for more drinks or food. Pretty slack to say the least.

However, my family and I went to the public restrooms for the centre and to our surprise, we overheard one of the servers (Felicia) from her cubicle bitching about our family and the above experience out loud over the phone.. which infuriated us but we didn’t act on this. So to Felicia and Casey (names provided to us by the male staff who served us our food) y'all really need to reconsider whether you are in the right line of work ladies, because your attitude and poor service will have future patrons frown down upon this place. Our family understand the world of hospitality and can empathise to a certain extent how this line of work can affect you mentally and emotionally, however that’s no excuse to treat others how you treated us! Although, this review may fall on deaf ears and blind eyes, we will most likely never dine here again and do not recommend this branch (Springwood)...

Pity I cannot give ZERO stars

Table of 9

First drink order taken, 20 min later had to chase up, waiter who took order came over and appologised as he was tied up with another table (he wasn't). Order delivered by another waiter. Ordered an orange juice and it was either a homebrand or canned OJ had the concentrate flavour, at $4.50 at least the could have used a better juice.

Ordered meal, I had a burger and chips. Both were cooked below proper temp, making the chips and burger taste of fat, left a couting in my mouth and can still taste it 10 hours later.

After dinner I ordered a coffee (to try and get rid of the fat coating still in mouth, sorry coffee is off the menu (apparently a broken machine).

No one approached us (apart from clearting table) to offer addition drinks or deserts.

One of the group approach a waiter to organise deserts, they came over and only took the order from their end of the table and never offered to the other half - the other half had to repeat the process.

Still trying to get rid of the fat flavour (not getting another OJ, no coffee), I thought I would get something that was naturally fatty that may either overcoat or help remove, ordered a thick shake, the waiter repeated the table order back and said milk shake - had to correct, and he confirmed thickshake. A milkshake was delivered, and the original fat didn't budge or over coat.

When home was feeling sick and had trouble getting to sleep.

NEVER EVER will I darken their doorstep and if asked for an opinion will repeat this story and be it on their heads if...

Went here Sunday and at first all seemed good but then we were greeted by one of the staff members who frankly just didn’t want to be there she walked over and literally lent over my mother in law throwing down napkins on either side of her we just thought maybe it was unintentional only then hear her talking to the table behind us like absolute crap! She was the only female working at the time assuming a manager of some kind as at one point she was in a meeting which looked to be some kind of interview for hiring (what a joy to work for) then the food gets brought over and she literally threw the plates down on the table when I questioned her she said “it was hot” I felt it and it wasn’t even close to hot, I asked the male on for sauce for the kids meals he had no issue at all grabbing it for us and was lovely about it but when I realised we had not cutlery I asked the female worker for some and she rolled her eyes walked over the a nearby table grabbed all of the cutlery off the table and brought it to ours and threw it down at this point we had had enough my husband very loudly stated if you don’t want to do your job then find somewhere else to work she didn’t approach us again until towards the end where she walked up grabbed my plate from underneath me (I wasn’t finished eating) and then when I looked at her in shock she stated “oh sorry are you done” I said well I am now. We got up am left! Honestly wouldn’t waste my time going there if she’s going to continue being a staff...
