I haven't had any issues with this GYG in the past but today was an exception.
My partner and I came in for lunch and sent an online order in at 2:56. We sat there waiting for more than 40 minutes as we watched 2 other people come in and order at the counter, get their food and leave in about 5 minutes. We were the ONLY people dining in. It was not busy and the employees were in the back talking the entire time. I'm all for talking while at the workplace, just don't let it ruin your attention to detail. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because they were in the middle of changing shifts and I understand that they wouldn't be cooking 24/7 while it's quiet because it can be wasteful.
20 minutes after I ordered they started packing a bag of what I assumed was our food and they looked in our direction MULTIPLE TIMES being that we were close to the counter and the only people there. We had no idea if the order was ours because they didn't read out our order number and we didn't want to go up and potentially look through someone else's order assuming it was ours. However, it was the only one up there.
After a long wait, my partner gets fed up and goes up to the counter the check and straight up asks, "Is this our order?" and the employee decided to snatch it away from him and ask "What is your order number?" (Completely reasonable question. The attitude was rude though). I flashed the screen to her and she blankly says, "It's ready.". It would've been nice to be told that instead of letting the food that we paid for go cold.
Every other time I've gone here they've read out the order number or sent a notification through the app. But no, apparently WE DIDN'T SIT IN A RESTUARANT TO EAT AND ARE SUPPOSED TO READ MINDS! To top it all off, the food was lukewarm and the chips were cold. I was also expected to eat it with my hands because they forgot to give me a fork :').
Worst service I've had and I don't think I'll be coming back.
