I am very disappointed with the service we received tonight. Me and my family decided to go out for a family meal tonight and the venue we choose was beenleigh sports club. Upon arrival myself and my partner swiped our cards as we are both members of this club. There was a lady standing at reception qnd not once did she acknowledge our presence. We than proceed to the main bar where there, there was not 1 staff member to be seen. We than grabbed our own menus and sat down at a table. We than decided on what we were ordering qnd my partner went to the bar and ordered our meals. This was at 5:45pm as we decided to arrive early so that we could eat and get our children home. We than had waited 45 minutes for our meals. Our meals came out I had ordered the 200g steaks chips qnd salad and my partner had ordered the special which was the steak with oysters which was a $45 special mind you. We went to start eating our meals to than find that our steak was extremely cold qnd our chips as well. I than grabbed our meals qnd approached the main bar and had requested for our meals to be replaced as they were cold. We than bathwater another 15 minutes and still had not received our meals. At this point I was very annoyed by the lack of the hospitality service and had than approached the main bar again and had requested a refund as this was not acceptable. I was than told to wait as the staff member behind the bar would go and get Angela the Duty Manager. I than had stood there for 5 minutes waiting. Angela had than finally came down from the restaurant and had approached meat the air bar and asked me what was wrong. I than had told Angela that I am requesting a refund on our meals as we have waited 45 minutes on our meals and Angela had than responded with your meals have been freshly cooked and are about to come down. I than had said no!, I would like my money back as this is not on qnd that I was not the only person who had been waiting 45 minutes for my meals. Angela had than gone to the till and started to proceed with my requested. I also had tried to explain to Angela that we are member's qnd have come down here for meals previously and have we never had to wait this long at qll for our food. Angela had than said to me that I am sorry but we do have trainees on tonight as we have staff away sick and we are busy up stairs. Now, as a Duty Manager Angela should not be at qll in any way blaming her trainees on the lack of service nor the food and should be taking full responsibility of this. Than another staff member had come down to speak to Angela and had asked her if she knew where these meals were going as this staff member was told that Angela knew where they would be going. Angela than came across very rude to her staff member in the way she spoke to her and said Don't worry about it they don't want it. Read moreSaw the advertisement for their cent auction and decided to go along last night for a hopefully fun evening.
We got there early and decided to get a meal first. My partners burger was very average but I received a very spicey pasta dish. I dont actually know what happened either poorly written description of the meal or miss understanding of what we wanted off the menu because me and my partner were both positive I would be receiving a creamy sauce based pasta and instead received a spicey tomato based one. Far to spicey for either of us to actually eat and enjoy. So that pasta was $26 wasted in the first half hour of being there.
Other people ordering pizzas through the night looked nice but I could not justify spending any more money on food and think maybe we just made a bad pick off the menu.
There was gaps in between each of the cent auction draws which I decided to put on a game of keno in-between. Luckily the gaps were about 30mins each or I wouldn't of had time to get served. Out of my entire life I have been to alot of pubs,clubs and rsls and this was by far the slowest service I have ever received. I was waiting in line behind another patron for about 3 minutes to put on my keno before someone came to serve us. She placed the persons keno on who was in front of me then they chatted about some personal stuff and then the staff member walked away and didn't serve me. I was then left waiting ages for another staff member to come over.
When it was time to check my ticket I was standing in line for ages again. I eventually turned to a customer waiting behind me and joked "I think they only serve locals here maybe you should go in front of me so we can get some service " He agreed and said "oh I'm glad its not just me that they didn't want to serve im not from here either"
In regards to the cent auction the prizes were really good . But it might be worth discussing lowering the value of some of them and having (example) 3 x $50 westfield cards instead of 1 x $150 would give everyone a few more chances of enjoying a win.There is plenty of time for it with the 30min gaps between every 5 draws but when there is only 20 prizes and 1 table of locals goes home with a third of them its a bit of a boring expensive night to have gone home without a single prize and having spent $50 on food to go home hungry. Overall the staff member with the mustach walking around was very friendly , it was only the bar staff that wernt the friendliest to us. But as something we thought might become a regular activity for us we are unsure if we will bother again.
Also the carpark did not feel very safe at night.

Read moreHi club beenleigh my hubby and i have been coming to club beenleigh now for about 5 years Its about time i put up a review Our first experience in restaurant was outstanding and we met the lovely sharon restaurant manager She made us very welcome from our first experience to now 5 years on We almost go in there weekly sometime twice a week and have taken many many many friends in there also who love it like us The food is really lovely and never had a bad meal in 5 years Great portion sizes as well and 2 for 1 meals mon to thurs , plus specials fday to sunday as well Its soooo worth the visit and sharon restaurant manager whos been there about 9 years is a massive part of why we keep coming back Sharons service and friendliness is very professional and she is just a bubbly lovely lady who cares Nothing is ever a drama for sharon and always looks after us and our family and friends Keep up the great work sharon and the team plus chefs in kitchen do a great job also as food sooo great and sooooo yummy Place is always clean and tidy and staff downstairs also very friendly to Great drink prices as well.
