A pinnacle within the Shailer Park Community! Me and my family have visited the renowned Pine Woods for years. I never knew what made it stand out from the other restaurants on the Bryant's Road stretch. Maybe its the location, the people, or the service. But the longer I think about it, the more clear the answer is. It's the damn food. My favourite has to be the Szechuan Chicken. The spiciness of the source paired with the juicy fresh cut chicken makes my mouth water at the mere thought. Pair that with their iconic fried rice and BAM!! you got a winner. But if that's not enough to take your taste buds on a journey than why not try their highly esteemed deep fried ice cream. The crunchiness of the coconut coating partnered with the smoothness of the full cream ice cream would make any human being tempted for a bite. And for drinks, the sky is the limit: pasito, coke, you name it, they have it. AND you know what the best part is? Its all below $15! Don't get maccas or Hungry Jack's, get some authentic chinese food for a great price. Will continue to go to this place for many more years to come and excited to see the direction that this restaurant...
Read moreI just wanted to say for all of those low star reviews.. you guys need to wake up to yourselves. I’ve been a regular at this restaurant for the last 8 years. I’m talking at least once to twice a week, the food is easily the best Chinese/Thai food I have ever eaten in my life, hence the reason why I still eat here. For the people that are leaving one star reviews from one visit when the food may have not been that great, they have to train new people, you can’t expect the original owners to be the only cooks to cook and also run the restaurant, give them feedback 9 times out of 10 I’m sure they will fix your order and apologise for the mistake/accident. They don’t purposely want to make your experiences bad. Overall this is a great restaurant with great service and great food - HIGHLY recommend and I will not eat from another Chinese/Thai restaurant. Every single one of their dishies are 8-10 out...
Read moreWe have been patrons at this restaurant for a good number of years now and after our latest experience tonight, we won't be going back!!! The prices have gone up and the service and quality have gone down. Tonight we ordered 4 mains and 4 entrees and paid around $75. The honey chicken was dry and lacked the sticky, tasty deliciousness of such a dish. We even had to add our own honey it was that pathetic. We didn't receive our free spring rolls and dim sims for ordering over $65 order total. This was supposed to be a celebratory dinner for our anniversary and our enjoyment was shattered by this terrible experience. We will be going elsewhere in future. After slowly going downhill after all these years we can no longer bring ourselves to be loyal patrons of this...
