Stopped in here for some dinner takeout for my daughter and me, and really wish we had gone to the Wing St or rib place next door instead. My daughter loves chimichangas though, so when she saw it on the menu it was a done deal. Was asked what type of meat we wanted with it and I told the guy beef. Not sure why he even bothered asking since when we got back home with the dinner we discovered they didnât put ANY MEAT in the chimichanga at all! đ„”
While I donât know for sure, I feel like the beef was left out purposefully, as when I went to collect the takeaway container neither guy working there would even look at me and their demeanour felt surly and cold. I stood there waiting as they chatted for at least three minutes so I could ask if it was my order waiting on the counter there before finally getting a curt âYeah, thatâs yoursâ without ever even looking up at me. Itâs not like it was busy and they got some orders mixed up, it was Sunday early evening and there was no one else around. And no napkins, no cutlery, no bag for the container, just a box with an overpriced, deep-fried square of rice and beans they call a chimichanga that had the teeny tiniest amount of guacamole and sour cream on top. It was so disappointing and frankly disgusting when we tried it.
If you find yourself at Posadas Cantina do what I wish I had done and get your food from one of the other eateries in the building. Any place that manages to make something deep-fried into something practically inedible is definitely a place to be avoided...
Read moreMy partner and I went to this place to get the smokehouse but the line was so long we decided to get the Mexican instead. This was a massive mistake. $18 for three birria tacos with a tiny dipping sauce.... That took 50 minutes to prepare... And they were cold... And had no flavour whatsoever. It was a joke. My partner got chimichanga and it was so bland it's like they went out of their way to remove the natural flavours of the ingredients. Oh and it was ice cold too.
I almost went to ask for a refund and leave as it was getting late but the buzzer went of just in the nick of time... unfortunately...
50 minutes to take three tacos, put some pre-prepared meat on them, grill each side and put in a basket.... 50 minutes! Unbelievable.
The staff were as dry as the meat. Made me wait for a few minutes to hand over the buzzer and received a "that's yours".
it's a two ingredient meal... 50 minutes hahahaha the owner and the staff should be embarrassed.
I am going to go out of my way to make sure everyone I know stays the hell away from this black hole of despair. You've also damaged the other restaurants here as I will never spend a cent on any business...
Read moreHigh expectations, big disappointment. I really wanted to try this place as the menu and photos were quite appealing. I tried many awesome food trucks in the past so I thought I'll give Posadas a try. I ordered Tacos ($18) and Mano Taquito ($15). Price seemed to be bit steep but I was hoping to give my tastebuds an amazing experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a wishful thinking. Tacos: The good: presented well The bad: big chunks of raw cabbage tortilla falling apart bland taste not spicy at all (ordered mild) absolutely nothing special for $18
Taquitos: The good: decent taste presented well The bad: small portion absolutely nothing special for $15
Overall lack of "wow" factor. Just average food for premium price. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying even more as long as I get proper taste for the money. This is just not worth it. Bonus for nice graphics and good menu (at least on paper). Definitely not...
