Purchased a Stihl Whipper Snipper just before Xmas got home fired it up and used the 1/2 tank of start up fuel mitre 10 put in the machine to run me through the process then once I used up that fuel I mixed my own 50.1. With in under 2 hrs of use it had seized up. Took it straight back and the guy that looks after the mower section didn't want a bar of it.He told me to take it to recommend repairer. I said mate I bought it here Mitre 10 it's not my responsibility to take it elsewhere, this is a store problem. Again he wanted nothing to do with it. Machine came back from diagnosis of lack of oil in the fuel. The damage was already done with the start up fuel they put in it with no oil. Went through entire process with store manager and he wanted nothing to do with it. Basically said he said she said .I'm out of pocket $700 on a machine recommend by staff. I spend average $500-$600 there per month and will not ever set foot in that store again. Bunnings would of never treated someone like that....

Upon arriving, I was met at the front counter by a staff member whose attitude was, quite frankly, disappointing. I completely understand that everyone can have an off day, but the way both myself and my friend were treated was unacceptable. The staff member questioned our return in a manner that came across as disrespectful and unprofessional, leaving us feeling uncomfortable about what should have been a straightforward process.
This experience has really highlighted why many people prefer shopping at Bunnings. Even if Mitre 10 may have better stock in some areas, the customer service and overall attitude of staff play a huge role in where customers choose to shopโand unfortunately, this interaction left a very...

We had to go and get them then proceed to the tradie desk because of delivery, they didnโt recognise my miter 10 rewards card either because it was the tradie desk, funny that, didnโt see sny tradies there, so i phoned and was told we were told today and waited until 3.50 to get told deliveries were done for the day. So what about me waiting all day to help build the flatpack, no responce.
