Royal Hotel — Restaurant in Logan City

went to the Royal tonight for dinner. I have a disability aid dog I was discriminated against and I was kicked out but they waited until my meal was finished and they sent a new girl to do the dirty work. the venue manager wouldn't even come out and talk to me. they treated me like I was a criminal. wanted to know my name. my phone number my address when I told them that they were putting me in danger by saying my details out loud. I went into a catatonic state after leaving the venue due to their abuse. they have banned me from being in this backstreet boozer. my disability dog is allowed in an ambulance. he's allowed in hospital he's allowed on the bus he is allowed in the high court in Brisbane. he is allowed on a train and yet this backstreet boozer kicked me out. I showed them my license and still would not accept my dog. this is discrimination then they wanted me to tell them about all the staff that has served me in the past so they could have words to their staff. why should I do that? I really felt sorry for the young girl who just started there who had to approach me about my dog. whereas the venue manager had no guts to even come and talk to me. I will be in contact with the company that has trained my dog to be by my side for medical reasons and I am sure they will have you for discrimination we normally go there every Saturday night with a whole group of us with our church so there's going to be a lot less in that pub every Saturday night now No wonder...

Unfortunately it wasn’t the best experience. I had forgotten to take a photo of our meals, as by the time the food came out it had been 45 minutes. Now I understand that’s not too bad but we were the only people eating there (should have been the first sign). Most items on the menu were unavailable - including the weekly special. The steak was good but the chicken supreme was probably the highlight. Unfortunately that’s the end of the “good.” The vegetables were cold… no room temperature… cold. The chicken parmigiana tasted off and had a weird texture, not just 1 but all 3 that were ordered. The tempura barramundi was flavourless and tasted as if it was packet fish that had been deep fried. The eggs tasted off? Or maybe cooked with fish? The staff were almost non existent, however, the 2 we did see were lovely. Our plates sat at our tables for almost an hour after we ate before someone took them away. I just wish I had something more...

It's great to see the bistro is now open, however disappointed that the Me&U system isn't displaying all the food options that should be available especially if its meant to be a new menu.

Had to make my way to the bar but to be patient I stood away from the till to see if I'd be acknowledged by the staff and unfortunately I had to call by name after a few minutes to be greeted.

Food was awesome, Mitch has always been a passionate chef and hope he continues to do so and made to feel proud of what he does.

Recommended: 1.The Google page needs to get updated as it seems a lot is outdated.
