Springwood Hotel — Restaurant in Logan City

I booked the function rooms for my event in May, booked two months in advance. I received basically no communication from then until the day of, I stated in my booking info, in person, a week before, a day before and the morning before that I didn't need tables and chairs as I was going to set up the room as an open gallery. When I arrived there were like 12 round tables and chairs everywhere. The staff setting them up just left me to pack up most of the chairs. I met with the function coordinator for the day who said she would be there throughout the night to assist. Yep never saw her again. Needed a cord to connect to the speakers and asked a staff member a few times to help and they just left and never came back, so had silence for a couple of hours. I paid $100 each for two platters, one a cheese board that was just a small plate of cheese and olives and one dip but no cutlery, no knife. The other was a slider board that was supposed to have half chicken and half beef but there were only beef sliders. When I first booked the manager at the time (who left the company at some stage before my event) promised the hotel had connections with other businesses and they may be able to help spread the word or contribute to raffle prizes as it was a charity event. In the end they told me they don't have the same connections with these businesses anymore. I tried multiple times to get a hold of Tee and the person I was always put through to was quite rude and audibly annoyed with me. But I received no communication for the whole two months. Discrimination against me based on some pathetic woman who is friends with the manager on duty (CHERYL is manager) today. I was in a room at this venue, asked to extend and was told they are fully booked. Friend tried to book and was able to without issue. I called to get clarification on this- and was told that I apparently smoked in the room- and staff had noticed as they “walked” past. Firstly- after check in, the room reeked of cigarette smoke (same as every room I’ve stayed at there which is why I didn’t bother raising the concern with staff) Secondly -I left and did not return until past 11pm last night- so when did staff walk past? This morning it was 8.43 when I called about availability and had only just woken. So when did staff walk past? And when was I apparently smoking? I quit smoking quite some time ago, but the stressors of not having somewhere to stay tonight have seen me smoke one cigarette today in my stress - which I did in the DOSA located outside pokies. Thirdly- she then went ahead - after I got confirmation I was being discriminated against and lied about- and banned me from the premises.

This is disgusting and I am not going to allow some jaded woman to take my ability to stay somewhere I was (up until about a year ago) paying exponential amounts of money to in order to have a safe roof...

Went to the feast for dinner Sunday night, the dining time is 90mins, however by the time the line cleared it was roughly 60mins. The food was nice, however the reason for this rating was there were mice in the restaurant seating area which caused a guest to scream in fear (I would too) that's the last thing you'd ever want to see when eating dinner. The feast can better improve tgeir ratings and the overall experience by either opening the doors a little earlier to clear out the line, or make a second entrance to help the line move quicker. And to earn there rating (I was approached during dinner to give a 5star rating, but have since changed my mind given the mice incident and the lack of earning for the 5 star rating) I also preferred when the feast had the little booth seating areas, but it seems they've been pulled out (in the area where the mice were spotted). I had to repeat myself a few times asking the staff for a jug of water- and I understand they were busy, or were doing things, but don't say you'll do something and then not do it then come and ask me to give you a 5star rating.
