My partner and I had the butter chicken, kashmiri lamb, rice, and naan from here last night. The curries were terrible. The kashmiri lamb had a strong sour taste, and the meat was hard and dry. The butter chicken was seriously lacking flavour. I wasn't bothered because their prices are cheap compared to most indian resturants. But then i woke up so sick that night, threw everything up, stomach pains, head ache, i could not stomach water the next day. My partner also threw up and was feeling unwell the next day. I took the left over back to the store in the morning and asked for a refund. The staff were rude to me about this, claiming no one else complained, so it's me not their food. They offered me free food of 10% value of my purchase, refused to let me speak to a manager or owner, and stated i would get nothing from the owner. I took a free drink in the end because i wasn't going to get my money back, and i certainly won't be eating their food again. I was polite to the staff throughout this encounter. They appeared to be amused, lied to me, were condescending, and also tried to make out their english was not that good, which i saw through as i have indian friends and have previously worked in an indian resturant. But what I hade was not an Indian curry, it quite literally tasted like they got a chunky beef Hines stew tin can, and mixed a couple spices with it with a side of water. And when I. Mean spice I mean some chilli, did not taste like a curry!!! Not sure what cook you have but he does not take pride in his trade. Get rid of him!!! It’s not that hard to make a vindaloo! Kashmiri chilli, cloves, cardamom, mustard seed, coriander seeds, turmeric, chilli powder, cumin seeds, staranise, garlic ginger, pepper, cinnamon, tomatoes and some sort of Stock blended up with vinegar! Read moreGot some extra iron in the chicken Tikka Masala / Butter Chicken tonight, although we didn’t really ask for it. Found not one but two metal staples in the chicken meat. Was the chicken previously in an accident? I guess that doesn’t matter. What matters though is that this is something you don’t really want in your chicken, or your mouth, or your stomach. You have to check your produce before you cook it guys! I called the shop right away to stop selling this chicken and want their customers. But there seem to be some kind of language barrier and the staffer didn’t seem to know what I was talking about, replying with “I don’t know metal”.
