Absolutely b/s!!! Hubby and I came here for brunch today (25/02/2025) I ordered the waffles, which cost $16.99. When I got my order, I wasn't happy as the bananas looked over ripe. I asked for them to replace the bananas with fresh ones. It's not hard to do, right? The young girl comes back, saying the bananas are fresh and come from Coles. (OK, so let's blame Coles for my bananas looking over ripe) 🤷♀️ I then told them that I wasn't happy with it and to just give me a refund for the meal. Sorry, she said, we don't do refunds. I was absolutely gobsmacked. What!? She takes the plate away and comes back with it a couple of minutes later again, saying the bananas are fresh. Again, I said I didn't want the waffles. I want a refund. She took the plate away again, and I sat there waiting for hubby to finish his meal. While waiting, she comes back with my waffles again and proceeds to tell me the process in which they cook the bananas on a hot plate, and that is the reason for the discolouration. I told her then just don't cook the bananas and exchange these ones with fresh ones 🤷♀️ Oh, she says, that's not how they do it. They cook them 🤦♀️ OMFG .... 🤬🤦♀️ Never mind, i said, "Can I get a refund?" I'm sorry, she says I can't issue a refund as the manager is not here, but I can offer you something else from the display cabinet. I look at hubby, who tells her to go away as he knew I was ready to explode. He finished his meal, and we asked for the manager and was told again that they were not on site So we go to leave, and I notice the google review logo on the counter. If you want a review, here's your review 🤬 The first and last time for me going there. I will make sure to let friends and family know not to go there as well, so darn frustrating!! It's not so much the food. It was the service. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos. I was...

Mixed grill, $29.95 - 1x lamb shish, 1x chicken shish, 1x Kofta shish, 1x specialty sausage, lamb cutlet (or loin). Served with rice, bread, salad and dips (choice of 2 from hummus, baba ganoush, chili capsicum yoghurt, tzatziki, garlic, chilli salsa) We went with the staff’s recommendation for the dips: spicy capsicum, and garlic - the garlic was great. I thought this was a reasonably solid dish with my favourite protein element being (somewhat surprisingly) the sausage. The lamb and chicken shish in particular were good where I had hoped for them to be great, and as a package I expected this dish to hit a bit more than just reasonably solid.
chicken wings 1kg, $19.95 There are 4 flavours available (with the cheeseburger being a $2 premium), and we chose the buffalo flavour. You also get a choice of blue cheese or burger sauce and we went with the former. I’m not the biggest fan of buffalo flavour but found these to be quite decent. My friend who is much more into buffalo wings says they’re good on both the wings and blue cheese sauce front, so that makes them a winner in my books. The only weak point in this dish was not having enough of the sauce for 1kg of wings - I’d say double the portion to get the ratio right.
We went for an early Friday dinner and the place got busier during our stay. Most people seem to prefer the outdoors seating, though even the indoors seats we had were fairly open to the outside. Service was fairly friendly, with our food arriving after about a 20 minute wait. There’s a hand washing basin inside which is great for when you want to get handsy with the food :)
Overall a nice enough meal at about $25 per head. Will probably try something different next time, or perhaps go to their OG West End store first before...
Read moreOMG!!!! Hubby took me here today to check out the meat. He's been searching for nice thick sausages forever and knows how much I like good quality meat . After discovering this place yesterday, he surprised me with a lunch date.
I was checking out the meat and the prices and was giving the slow nod of approval, we purchased some wagyu beef patties, two were aged, and two were regular. Just to take it home and see the difference. (Dinner tonight, I can't wait).
Attached to the butcher is an eatery, and on the way through, I saw a sign inviting you to choose your meat at the butcher, and they will cook it for you next door. Bonus!
We were busy drooling over the baklava but decided on a Burger meal. Mary convinced us to try the bison burgers. 🦬
As we were waiting, a waitress advised that they had just run out of bison but were able to do one bison, one wagyu for no extra cost. We were happy with that, it meant we could compare. I got the bison and wow, this stuff is great! I couldn't really taste any difference to beef, but it has a leaner, cleaner taste. Hubby and I swapped burgers halfway, and boy, did I notice the difference then! Bison is my new red meat! The wagyu had nothing on the bison. I know that's a big call, but seriously. This stuff is delicious.
I went back to the butcher side and asked when they're getting more bison. They're definitely getting more, so I'm going back to get it.
I'm driving over 50km to go back. It's that good.
Mary, Amin, this place is great. The selection of food available in the butcher side of things is comprehensive. It includes bread, sweets, condiments, spices, and even a deli fridge. 5 stars...
