After ordering $80+ worth of meals, half of our order was missing, and when I called the store and asked the manager Michael to please send out the rest of the order, I was told "that's a Door Dash problem" and we would not be able to receive what I paid for, unless I came into the store to pick it up. I then asked for a refund for the things I didn't receive to settle the matter, and was again told he "Couldn't do that either, unless I attended the store" and the girl in charge of the chips "is in training and has been for 3 weeks" (We had no chips sent at all, So she completely missed the order all together, and is obviously not being trained correctly) So in the end I paid $80+ for 4 cold burgers, and 4 flat cokes... Never again! And as for Michael to trying and blame Door Dash, that's a joke on his behalf. As it's Michael and his staff that should be making sure the whole order is there. Not the delivery driver. Mistakes happen. I fully get it. And had Michael not straight away blamed the Door Dash driver, I simply would have gone in tomorrow for a refund. Seeing as Macca's was closed for renovations, we tried again at HJs for ice cream. And guess what!?! Their ice cream machine is in for maintenance. "But we have drumstick". Thanks but no thanks. We can go anywhere for drumsticks.
Update July 2023:
Tried again. Who would have guessed their ice cream machine wasn't working. Why do we bother!!! Where did we go? Maccas of course. Based on other recent reviews, we are not alone in being disappointed. Time HJs HQ read the reviews.

We decided to give them a try after previous bad experiences. That wasn't worth the effort. Once our order was ready it was handed to somebody randomly standing at the counter without giving the order number or saying what it was. That person, an elderly lady was unaware that it wasn't hers and I had to go and tell the inexperienced staff that it was my order. No wonder Maccas is so busy. We are the only customers in the restaurant (see pics), there was one family outside (who finally have the correct order). Wish there was a zero star rating. Read moreI Would like to start off by stating that this is my first time in making a complaint on any platform in regard to fast food, and this is not the first time this has happened. as pulling into the drive through I was greeted with poor customer service, someone that showed no experience in such skills, and no energy to output positive vibrancy towards their customers. after experiencing this I was waiting at the window to collect my food where I was met with the same staff that showed no shift in attitude, looking through the window I saw no teamwork or clear communication in getting the orders out. by this time it had already been 25 minutes and I could see my food on the hot tray just sitting there. after the 25 minutes I was told to park where I had to wait an additional 5 minutes where I was met with the worker who had walked up to my window and handed my cold food to me,. no sorry for the wait, no thank you, no have a nice day! from a customers point of view I come through these drive throughs understanding that working in such heat with so many orders can be hard and exhausting at times, however this is below poor performance, and even more so...
