Tom kha was one of the best I have ever tried. I could tell the barramundi that was used is fresh and good quality as it didn't have any musky smell unlike some low quality barramundi. Coconut based soup itself was well balanced and tasted pleasant until the very last drop. It reminded me of gentle spring breeze at beach on a sunny day. Papaya salad was ok. Well roasted peanuts were aromatic but it felt like the overall flavour was little too sweet to my liking. But I don't eat papaya salad often so I could be wrong. However, the Thai fish cake dish really blew my mind. Freshly fried fish cake paired with fresh cucumber and sweet chilli sauce was absolutely perfect. Must try this ones!!! Beef noodle was also very nice. Especially the fried thai basil in the dish surprised me as it provided texture and interesting flavour dimension to the dish. Rice was also surprisingly good. Rice is something that Asian restaurants quite often overlook but this place nailed it. Quality and donenes was perfect. If you want honest food that is truly well executed, look no further. So much better than most big named and overpriced Thai restaurants in CBD. Such a hidden gem. I feel truly lucky to finally find such place in Melbourne.🥳

Incredible modern Thai flavours on Lygon St where everything is made from scratch, including their curry pastes and sauces! We tried: 🍃 Smoked Trout Betel Leaf 🐷 Twice-Cooked Pork Belly 🍝 Chilli Beef Noodles 🥘 Massaman Curry 🍨 Coconut Ice Cream w/ Black Sticky Rice Pudding 🍹 Tropical Breeze 🍹 Chiang Mai Blossom You know it’s going to be good when it has a 5⭐️ Google rating, and that first bite confirms it! The smoked trout betel leaf packed a punch, with fresh papaya salad flavours. Loved the pork belly, which had a deliciously crispy skin and tender meat, accompanied by some juicy prawns slathered in XO sauce. Their chilli beef noodles had quite the spicy kick and we loved the chewy rolled rice noodles. The massaman curry was super fragrant, with incredibly tender beef brisket chunks. Dessert was phenomenal - fresh coconut ice cream with chewy black sticky rice, slathered in a sweet sauce. Their cocktails were also nice and fruity and so pretty! Highly recommend this spot if you love a good Thai feed like I do!

Wow, I can’t begin to describe how incredible our first time here was. Everyone was so kind and welcoming and the food was honestly some of the best I’ve ever eaten period! We started with the chicken ribs, the crunch, spice and sweetness of the Gochujang sauce was incredible. I didn’t think anything could top it. Then the Massaman curry came out. The beef brisket was fall apart fork tender. The curry it self was fresh, the galangal, lemon grass and coconut was perfectly balanced. The twice cooked pork belly and prawns were incredible. Massive prawns, pork belly that was simultaneously crunchy and also incredibly tender. With the chilli and sauce it was an incredible meal. To top it off, when they found out it was my birthday they gave us some coconut ice cream with candied citrus peel and that was the perfect end to the night. I cannot highly recommend 3 sisters enough, and it has been added to my list of regular restaurants to visit and dine in.
