3 Social — Restaurant in Melbourne

I did not place an order at the restaurant. I have been working for Meero, which is a market place specializing in photographic subcontracting, for 3 years in Melbourne (470 shoots). Meero sends me to restaurants to photograph their items for Uber Eats. Uber Eats makes appointments with restaurants, then Meero with me. The restaurant does not pay the photo session. Today, I had an appointment with Steven Raftellis scheduled for 5 to 7pm but I couldn’t be on time. So I called him to let him know (at 5pm 😞), but he hang up on me twice (the first time he asked me where I was from, I answered Melbourne) and stopped to answer my calls. I even asked someone next to me at the train station to call him for me, explaining that I am running late and if it’s ok to wait for me, but he didn’t answer the call. I also emailed him, no response. When I arrived 1hr late (1hr train from Southern Cross Station), he said he couldn’t understand me on the phone and refused the photo shoot. I find it rude to hang up on people and not answer calls. His behavior was the same when I was at the restaurant. I have gone to the american social on two occasions and both times have been really disappointed with the overall experience. The second visit was giving them the benefit of the doubt that it may have been a one off however this was not the case at all. Both times customer service has been very poor- drinks being processed wrong or just forgotten. We waited over an hour and half for our food which is absurd. Had there been a little communication with the wait staff i would have been a little more forgiving. On both occasions when i had visited our table requested water three times and the waitress who was looking after our table was too busy posting on their social media platforms/ instagram which resulted me in going to the bar and serving our table water myself :)

Overall the food is decent but for what you pay for i would very much rather travel into the city and pay a fraction of the price.

The american social has potential however it falls very short. I wont be attending again nor will i recommend to any...

We made a booking, however when we arrived there was no table for us. We were told by staff that there’s no free tables at the moment, to sit outside and they will bring us menus and show us inside when a table becomes available. Not really sure why there’s a reservation system when they don’t reserve tables? The music inside and outside was incredibly loud, I couldn’t hear my partner talking next to me. We sat outside, the table was still dirty with spilled drinks from whoever was sitting there before us. We waited 15 minutes and nobody brought us a menu so we grabbed one from the bar. We waited another 10 minutes and still weren’t acknowledged by any waiters. Ultimately after 25 minutes of waiting, we left. Not sure if they were understaffed for the day, but if so, why not close bookings? Why take on more patrons than the staff can manage? Definitely won’t be going back after...
