21/04/2023 - Ordered our meal over the phone, got the cashier to repeat the order, which was correct. Got the order home to find half the order missing, I called the store to find out where the other half was? The cashier placed me on hold for a minute which the phone was just placed on the counter. I could hear the cashier serving other customers while I was waiting on the phone I was on hold for 5 minutes at home. I then proceeded to the establishment with my phone still on loud speaker. By the time I got there I had been on hold for 10 minutes. To then be asked, “can I help you “ whilst my phone was still connected to theirs. 🤦🏼‍♂️I asked where the rest of my order was to get the response oh it’s just here, hear you go, whilst everything at home was getting cold… terrible customer service. This place serves great crispy fish and chips! We've made this our regular fish and chip shop. Crispy chips, crispy fish, cooked well and super tasty. This is now our go to from now on.

We stopped going here when we moved to the area as 'Angelo' had got too old and quality slipped. and we were going to Wantirna Mall fish and chips (as that is also a great f&c shop)

So glad I got lazy and re-tried the local shop again due to a time constraint. The new owners do top notch fish and chips, and service was prompt and good. Was completely surprised by the now great quality! (less salt and fish no longer swimming in batter like previous owner) Had to come leave a comment.

Disappointing Most of our meal was cold and all chips, potato cakes and fish were stuffed into the same bag with a small bag of dim sims tucked into the back. Grilled fish batter was stuck together, unable to give individual pieces to each person. We received less potato cakes than we ordered and the souvlaki was very cold with large chunks of chicken that was not nice. Staff were arguing between themselves, not wanting to help each other. Very pricey for what we received. In future we will drive elsewhere or get chicken and chips from next door, half the price but fresh and tasty. Also cash only! Sent to the IGA ATM, why on earth would I pay a $2.20 fee for such poor quality...
