Anne's Pantry Surrey Hills — Restaurant in Melbourne

Also food is terrible from. bang Mi to Pies everything is below average quality.

I have been coming here for years very disappointed with this service today. Ordered a pork roll, asked for less carrot as it was being made, the manager / owner came up to me and said we don't take instruction on how to make our food we sell it as a pre made item very rudely. Not good customer service at all. Will never come back this bakery, these owners are rude and controlling. Now he has lost multiple customers from me, family and friends who did once frequent this once nice bakery

EDIT: Thanks for your reply. If I was instructed to Pay extra I would have been happy to. However the RUDE manager with glasses that thinks he's above us all doesn't give people that option. He treats them with rudeness and contempt like he's superior. Not once was I asked to pay extra. He came over and said we do not take instructions from our customers. 10 people in the store witnessed this and all were disgusted and shocked with his behaviour If you do not want to serve people food the way they like it, you should get out of the food industry.

Ordered online for pick up. I was not aware there were multiple Anne's Pantry locations. I should have checked, but you should also perhaps have the location in the store name on ubereats. "Anne's Pantry Surrey Hills Store" for example. I went to the Box Hill store (because it's down the road from my house) looking to pick up my order and the guy there said it was the Surrey Hills store I ordered from. So I had to travel another 13 minutes to pick up my order that was already ready. I really wanted to cancel it because I knew some of it wouldn't be fresh/nice and I didn't want to travel extra. I got a crispy pork banh mi and 3 potato cakes. My banh mi was okay. The roll was fresh and there seemed to be a decent amount of meat in it (I did order extra). It was kind of cold though. The potato cakes were terrible. Cold and kind of hard as if they had been there from either early in the morning or even the previous day! They went straight in the bin! I might order from an Anne's Pantry again IN STORE to give the banh mi another go. I definitely won't be ordering online though. My feedback would definitely be to include the location name on ubereats. I can't be the only one who has done...

The food (variety, quality and price) is reasonably ok, although the service at lunch times is terrible. It is never clear which register is open for ordering (customers end up queue jumping without realising it) and staff will often interrupt the preparation of your order (after you've paid up-front) half way through, just to take another customer's order, so you end up waiting longer than necessary. Also, when you tell them you will wait outside and they acknowledge that is where you will wait (as it gets packed as more and more customers wait to give their order), they won't call out or indicate to you that your order is ready, they just leave it on the counter and expect you will read their minds or that you have x-ray vision.
