Armadela VNO Woodfire Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

Staff is very nice, always smiling. But the food wasn't the best, even though they charge handsomely for food. My first perception of this place was that it would have the peaceful and pleasant vibe with great woodfired pizza. But it's a big NO. I was disappointed, would not recommend. The reasons are 1.We ordered two pizzas. On both the toppings were all on one side and the cheese unevenly distributed. Taste was good but we could only eat every pizza half, from the center, where there was any food covering the base of pizza. So sides of pizza were sooo dry and it was just cooked bread not covered with pizza topping or cheese or butter.. Nothing. 2.The table we were sitting at was close to one of the kitchens and the door of that kitchen would not close, so there was a lot of noise coming from there all the time. We complained about it but were not taken seriously. These two things ruined the whole experience..these are the basic things, I expect at least good food and peaceful environment from a place which charges $25...

Order 2 basic pizzas from Uber eat around 8.30pm on Friday. Delivery was due for 9.05pm by bike, a delayed message popped up after having already received a notification that the driver was on it's way. The bike became a car around 9.30pm....no explanations or whatsever. I called and was informed that the driver was at the restaurant ready for pick up. The pizzas arrived at 10.15pm!!! And what a surprise, even though they were obviously still warm they were only half size, an oval shape that didnt even fill the whole box and barely cut. $21 for a margarita which was more than small size. Not great. Well undercooked. We ordered three pizzas and picked them up just out of the oven. all except for one half of one pizza were barely cooked. Crust instead of being a bit charred and the crust bubbled was nearly raw dough. The dough was tasty and had a nice chewiness when it was fully cooked. The toppings were fine without being of any great quality and the elements that needed a bit of cooking were mostly not cooked through. 12 year old son who would normally scoff a large pizza barley ate half as he didn't like it. We had a very bad experience with this place shortly after it opened but thought it would be worth a second chance. With much better options in the area (generally cheaper as well) I don't think we'll be going...
