went to Augustus today with my 3 y.o. daughter to get her some treat, it's a hot day and she's really looking forward for her favourite bubble gum flavoured with marshmallow gelato, but the customer service left us with bitter tastes and memory, I'd avoid this place in the future. A young man (probably a high school graduate) firstly told us that he has to 'clean' the shop, so we could 'sit and wait for 5 minutes'. The shop was reasonably clean, it's Monday before noon, and we're the only customer, so it's weird that he can't serve one more customer (my daughter); he changed the radio station, turned it up, and started to clean up the shop (display fridge, shop window etc.). So I left feeling a bit off, told him that I'll come back later.
5 minutes later we're back and we ordered the gelato for my daughter, her favourite's (bubblegum and mallow) container was almost empty, but he has a new container which is full; he spent some time scrapping every last chunk of gelato in front of us from the old container, making me feel more uncomfortable and felt we're getting the 'left overs'. I mean, he could've get the new gelato to save time and made us feel better and scrapped the remaining stuff into the new container afterwards. It would've achieve the same outcome but with better customer service.
Finally, what really made me loose it was after he finished with the 'scrapping' he has the audacity to answer a phone call, spent another 3 minutes explaining to someone on the line what flavours are available in the shop, while holding the cup on the other hand intended for my daughter. I asked him to hand over the cup nicely and told him I'm happy to wait for the payment, so my little girl can enjoy the treat, but he refused / I was ignored. I watched the gelato melted, which at that point, I calmed my daughter and walked off.
Really ?? The stupidity and ignorance of some people just baffled me at times, I also felt discriminated against although I don't have proof for it. I understand that it's not the best job in the world, but take pride of what you're doing and do it right! With that attitude, there is no job in the world that will suit you, except being a slack - lazy. Augustus, choose your employee wisely or people will go to your...
Read moreWent to this ice cream shop at 9:00 pm (they close at 9:30), and the person serving couldn’t have been less interested. No greeting when we walked in — just a blank look like we were interrupting him.
We ordered two double scoops, and my wife got a cookie that comes with free ice cream for $10.90. She politely asked for the ice cream to be served in a separate cup instead of on the cookie. His response? “We don’t do that,” and he still charged full price. Not a problem — but then he told us if we want the free ice cream separately, we’d have to pay the full amount again just to get it in a different cup. Really? Over a 30-cent cup?
When I asked if they take Amex, his response was: “Just try it — if it goes through, we take it.” Honestly, what kind of customer service is that?
If you’re the owner — sell the place. If you’re just working there — it’s time to find a new job. Based on other reviews, I’m sure I’ll get the same copy-paste reply: “We value your feedback.”...
Read morei came into this store and saw that ALL of the icecream was melted…THEY WERE STILL SERVING IT!!!!!! i was shocked, i have made a complaint and now don’t trust this place at all. there has been multiple times i’ve seen black hair strands in the ice creams. i recently discovered that why went under new management and im extremely disappointed. there scoops are stingy and i caught the manager telling off a employee for giving me “big scoops” when the scoop was already 10x smaller as the scoops i get from the werribee store. these people are dodgy and DO NOT deserve to manage a store. THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THERE...
