One star is over rating as I do not have a choice I to give negative stars!!
Food was absolutely hopeless. Horrible food in disguise with exotic names!!
Chicken 65 was so so..very bright red colour added but no spice!!
Pepper fish did not have even a slightest tinge of pepper. It tasted like poached fish. No spice or salt at all!! More over, the chef perhaps does not know the difference between lemon and orange I guess! Instead of lemon slice to squeeze on the dish, it had an orange slice! Not sure if that was to decorate it!!
Fish Angar (Fire) - I thought this was going to be fiery spicy but, it was the opposite! The fish was very undercooked, some pieces were not at all cooked! All I can say is that the fish fillets were dunked into a bowl of tomato ketchup topped with bright orangish red colouring and served as Fish Angaar…what an irony!!
Chicken noodles…now, for kids we wanted it mild (less spicy)…This was probably the most decent dish I would say of all. It was ok but extremely bland that the chef forgot to add even some salt!
While paying up for the food, the girl at the counter asked how my food was and I told the truth. All she could do was a smile. Not even a sorry or remorse for having served the worst food ever!
Overall, not the Priya’s Kitchen that I had eaten in the past! The quality has gone down...
Read moreFood is average and service is way below average with some callous waitresses! The main order was taken by a lovely gentleman and was served by another welcoming gentleman. But that’s about it. The lady waitress was way too casual while bringing a simple mango lassy, resulting a messy glass! It was hard to get their attention though the restaurant was not even 25% full, they were very occupied gossiping and was trying to avoid eye contact. We ordered masala tea to one waitress and was told it’s not available by another waitress. And interestingly after few minutes, the waitress who had taken the order for tea, came back saying now it’s our “choice” if we want the tea now, as it’s available now! She also mentioned there was a misunderstanding! Misunderstanding about “tea” in an indian restaurant, I don’t think it would be much appreciated!!! While paying the bill, the lady on the counter noticed the tea was already on the bill!! And she had to take it off. We should have understood we are not welcomed when we were shown a corner seat despite having free window table, and we had a 3 year old with us. Please let the customers know beforehand if you don’t want to serve south Asian people, who doesn’t drink alcohol, it would save time...
Read moreI normally don't write reviews . However this place stands out. It is clean, friendly service, and much better than average food for the price. We enjoyed the food and the restaurant is bright, airy and spotlessly clean. This is a great place!Staff is the best I have ever experienced at ANY Indian food establishment. Restaurant is very clean and neat looking. Maybe the food seems to taste better because of these facts. A great place for a a perfect Indian meal. After eating at this restaurant 3-4 times, we have always had quick and excellent service not only at the register but the staff is constantly checking on the tables to make sure everything is to your liking. the outstanding feature is not just the quality of the food but the Staff as well, the people who work to serve and provide a exceptional service. But so far, the Staff is the most outstanding feature for us regardless of what restaurant one is talking about! and a very special mention goes to Shiv- The manager who makes all the difference. He is a gem of a human being. I would strongly recommend one and all food lovers to experience the warmth of the people at the place and the delicious Indian food i have enjoyed in Australia. Thank you Priya. Thank you...
