This place is an absolute joke.
Where do I start? my wife and I decided to have lunch at Dosa Hut, Point Cook because it was opened recently and the atmosphere looked pretty good. When we arrived, we got asked to seat and received the menu straight away and waited for the waiter to take our order which was about 10 mins. I had to wave to the waitress to get attention so they would take our orders. We ordered Spring Lamb Dosa, Chicken Biryani, and a Diet Coke.
After 30 minutes later - the food and the drink has not arrived. We started to noticed some of the customers received their food and drinks before us which was quicker than expected.
We had no idea what was going on and the waitress never bothered to come us to check anything even the Diet Coke still has not provided to us yet.
We waited very patiently and had to call the waitress again. I kindly asked her what was happening to our food and drink. She walked away to find out on the computer system. She did not inform us how long. This was really unprofessional.
After 10 mins later, my wife and I decided to leave the restaurant as we got sick of waiting but the waitress stopped us, apologised us and asked us to stay as the food was coming soon.
The waitress explained about the order being mixed up. I asked so many times where was the drink and asked how long the food was gonna take. The waitress checked again with the chef and came back and apologised to us and the food had arrived. I was disappointed.
About 5 mins later we received a Diet Coke. Total - 45 minutes for a Diet Coke.
5 mins later, we received our food Total - 50 minutes waiting for the meals. It was ok and not enjoyable.
The waitress apologise and didn’t give us a discount. We had to pay the full amount also I noticed the chef eyes to me looking evil. I am giving a zero star for bad service, unfriendly waitresses, and rude chef. We will never come back again and recommend you all not...
Read moreWe were three people, had high hopes for this newly opened place, after being referred by Murugan grocery store's owner, we thought of trying this place. Before you read any further, let me tell you the whole experience (from food to service to value for money) was disaster. We opted for indo chinese food and ordered chilly paneer, veg noodles and fried rice. Firstly the waitress was the most discourteous young lady, didn't take the order well, kept grinning and then later on manager told us the reason food is cold was beacuse of her ignorance. Anyhow, moving on, the chilly paneer came in without gravy( waitress didnot pay attention while taking order) and rest of the dishes were cold as turkey. This all could be blamed onto the waitress's lack of expertise. Fine, its a one off incident. Next came the food, the noodles were a bunch of boiled noodles with plenty plenty spring onions, thats it. Then fried rice was nowhere close to fried rice. This tells us that the chef doesnot know to cook indo chinese at all. Finally, the chilly paneer (ordered mild) was supperr supper hot by indian standards had over a 100 slices of garlic in it. Believe me, literally 100s of them. The manager upon our request changed it, but the newer dish wasnt much different either. Finally we decided to pay and leave. The manager clearly noticing our appalled experience did not charge us for chilly paneer. But the wasted time, and stomach cramps later made us leave this review. I have never had such an awful experince in my life at such a highly priced place in such a good suburb as point cook. Would never recommend this place nor ever try it again. To the owner, please change your chef in indochinese and train your staff the basics of...
Read moreOrdered one regular entree mirch bajji it was ok, but was different in a not so good way to other franchise - the footscray franchise had better toppings on the dish. Same dish from the menu two ways of serving and presentation. For the mains I have ordered one of the special dishes from the winter menu. Guthivankaya biryani ended up with three disappointments from one dish. One, the dish was listed as biryani but served with safron rice bowl and curry on top - this is no where a biryani to me. Two, the egg plant was uncooked and literally served raw, returned the dish after explaining the flaw to the assistants. Three, they come with a new serve after a 30minute wait and yet not improved, one out of three egg plants are still uncooked. Very bittersome experience for the hefty price tag for the so called special dish.
From my perspective if a dish is listed as special, I would have expected the dish would have been Mastered by the restaurant and would represent them on the plate.
Very commercial place run by students, poor customer service where the staff are unable to explain the listed dishes in the menu to the customers. Prices keep on increasing but not quality, customers expect decent food for what they pay. This is the last time I am...
